The Cliché of Politics
By Dennis D. Georges
A nation was looking for a ruler
It was like looking for a needle in a haystack
They finally chose a man
The man was not the brightest bulb in the box
Townspeople were complaining
Some said, "I wouldn't trust him as far as I could spit."
But others trusted him
So they agreed to make him ruler
But as they say, absolute power corrupts absolutely
He was destroying the town with the changes he made.
It was like opening up Pandora's Box
The crime rate went up and the people gathered in front of the ruler's house
They fought an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth.
After the fight was over, they found the ruler dead.
The people went back to the drawing board
And had another race to figure out who will be their new leader.
They finally chose a man whose actions spoke louder than words.
