Yue sat comfortably on a picnic blanket, the fields around her bright green and filled with the new flowers of spring. A little baby Ash was cuddling a plush blue rabbit, all while cooing and giggling. Yue had on a sunhat and was drinking a strawberry lemonade, it was such a lovely day for a picnic. Mandarin came walking over the hill, with his normal tired and heavy walk. He had a hand full of various flowers from the fields.

"Greetings love, it's a beautiful day isn't it?" Yue smiled sweetly at Mandarin, who sat down next to her.

"Agreed. These are for you, milady." He chuckled and handed her the flowers.

"Well thank you, they look very lovely." She smiled sweetly.

Mandarin smiled contently as he watched Yue playing with Ash.

He often had moments like this where he wondered how he deserved any of this. He found it hard to believe that this was real. He used to be a bad man. A man who made a terrible mistake and let evil cloud his judgement, let it get the best of him. And yet he wasn't paying for it, not the way he thought he deserved anyways. He had his old family back, a home, and a love. Why though? With all the evil he did, surly he should have been locked in a hole and thrown away never to be seen again. But here he was, sitting next to the love of his life and her, no, their adorable child. Though he certainly wasn't complaining, he enjoyed this far more than rotting in a cell somewhere.

Little baby Ash trotted over to the orange monkey, snapping him out of deep thought. He picked up the little dark furred monkey and held him. Yue smiled and placed a small yellow flower behind her babies' ear and kissed him on the forehead, and then leaned onto Mandurian.

All things considering, life was pretty good. Not perfect, but well worth all the problems. Yes, life was good.
