Acceptance

If I told you that you didn't know everything about me,
Would you still call me your child or friend?
What if I went against your beliefs and became something that I need to be?
Would you accept me for who I am?
If I told that I am still the same person but only that one thing has changed,
Would you still treat me the same?
Acceptance and love is all I ask for from you
I know what is right and wrong
I know how to live life
I know you might not approve at first
I know that deep down in your heart you still love me
