Demanding Prospects
This is a One- Shot that I wrote on a 12 hour plane journey to London, where I may add Is bloody freezing my Yankee body isn't used to blistering cold weather in late August It doesn't happen at home. This story is what my Boyfriend would like to call brain fart it doesn't do anything and you can't add anything onto it. So thank you Jensen for your knowledge of brain activity haha.
If you ask the majority of the American population what they think of the FBI most will say it's all suits and shiny badges but the rest would say that it's probably the most difficult job to get A foot into. Working for the government itself adds to that difficulty, the life of an FBI Agent isn't all guns and fancy technology. That probably the main reason why the academy only has a handful of graduates each year and most of them drop out after the first year as a rookie agent. Despite the masses of paperwork, unsociable long hours and the obvious danger associated with the job. It does have its perks, an unlimited supply of coffee admittedly it tastes like it's been made in a washing machine but free coffee is free coffee, You meet some great people as well some you wish you didn't meet but others you couldn't live without and on top of that your protecting the country.
I will admit it's a very physical and mentally demanding but it's manageable. I myself find the hardest part of this job is being undercover especially when you find yourself in a situation where you have to fake a fight with someone you know and have to make it look real, like you're actually trying to kill someone without doing any permanent damage. They don't teach you any half moves in combat training. They are moves designed to basically kill and maim as effectively and quickly as possible. If those moves are off limits like having to throw a genuine looking punch at one of your friends in an attempt not to blow your cover opening your fist just before impact normally helps, its painful for the person you just literally punched slash bitch slapped across the face but its better than a broken jaw and a black eye. If you want to show off landing a couple of kicks to the shoulder may cause you a broken rib or two but no one is going to end up as a special guest in the morgue sporting the latest trend of personalised toe tags.
It's important to know your cover story and that the team your working with knows theirs so if your cover gets questioned by your suspect the key becomes commitment. You've got to sell that you're an American drug and weapons trafficker as if your life depends on it…. Because sometimes it does. It makes you feel slightly at ease knowing your team has your back well except when the suspect doesn't believe you and gives you orders to prove you can even shoot a weapon.
Hitting someone with a bullet is easy when you're a trained ex-military sniper and FBI agent , purposely missing but making it look real is harder, one of the pro's when you work with the same team yes they may be pissed that your emptying your casing at them but shooting at them in the middle of an operation, they know to just go with it.
So I don't know what to think about this one its more light than my previous story, review and give me your thoughts. Jesse B xx
