Marauders Year 1

This is my first fanfiction so be nice.

It was nearing noon on hot day in the town of Bristol. One 11 year old boy was waiting impatiently on his families couch. The boys name was James Potter. James Potter was an unusual boy in many ways. One thing was he didn't have many friends. Another, was he could make strange events happen. The people in his neighborhood could agree he was a mysterious boy, and it was best to stay away from him. There was a reason for this. James Potter was a wizard. The rest of the neighborhood didn't now this, but blamed anything unusual on the Potters.

James was getting very agitated. There was a reason for this too. James like all other 11 year old wizards, was waiting for his Hogwarts acceptance letter.

"Mom, when will the letter come?"

"How many times do you have to ask that question?"

James was expecting that answer and sighed. He had been asking that question the

whole summer. He wanted to go badly to Diagon Alley and buy his school stuff.

James stood up, went to the window, and then glanced out. He saw a tawny owl heading straight towards his house. Could it be the letter? When the owl got there he took

the letter and ripped it open. It was the Hogwarts acceptance letter.

"MOM! DAD! I got the letter!" James shouted.

The letter read:

Dear James Potter,

We are pleased to inform you that you have accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begins September 1st.

HOGWARTS SCHOOL of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY?\

UNIFORM

First-year students will require:

1. Three sets of plain work robes (black)

One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear

3. One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar)

4. One winter cloak (black, silver fastenings)

Please note that all pupils' clothes should carry name tags

PARENTS ARE REMINDED THAT FIRST YEARS ARE NOT ALLOWED THEIR OWN BROOMSTICKS!
