Chapter 1: surprise! Its a speedboat!
"3...2...1...HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETIE!" yelled Leah's parents as they uncovered her eyes revealing their birthday gift to her. A brand new speedboat with a large green bow tied to it was sitting in the driveway attached to the new green convertible that her parents had also bought for her. "Thank you Mom! Thanks Daddy!" she cried in delight as she threw her arms around each in turn.
"There's one more thing sweet heart," her father said as he handed her an envelope. Inside was a ticket to Bermuda, a place she had wanted to go since she was a little girl. She had heard all kinds of stories about the Bermuda triangle, but she had never believed a word of them. I wish I could bring my new boat though she thought. Almost as if reading her mind, her mother said "honey, we know that you love the sea, and that's why we bought you the boat. We want you to take it on its maiden voyage in Bermuda, so we are going to have the boat sent to you via airmail. Expect it to be waiting when you get there. Don't worry, your bags are already packed. Lets get you to the airport in your new convertible!"
This is gonna be so exciting!
