Never Alone

My name is Elizabeth and… and I'm on a ship called the S.S. Harper. It's a cruise ship and… and there was something on the ship with us. Since I'm a police officer… it is my sworn duty to try to evacuate the ship… or at least find the survivors.

At oh five hundred, that thing I mentioned escaped. I don't know what it is, but it is very dangerous. It… it killed a lot of people, though I am only assuming it was the creature due to the fact that it escaped and I keep discovering bodies.

What am I doing currently? I'm in my room, shotgun in my hands, hoping that the creature doesn't find me. I found a shotgun on one of the guards and when I picked it up, that thing screamed as loud as possible. When I heard that blood curdling scream, I ran till I got into my room and I locked the door. I will not let that thing find me.

A German shepherd is sitting on the other side of the bed holding a twelve gauge shotgun. She has green eyes and her face shows the signs of pure terror.

She keeps whispering "Please don't get me, please don't get me, please don't get me, please don't get me," over and over again. She stops moving, even holding her breath when she hears something move pass the door. Whatever it was, it didn't sound like any animal she has ever heard of.

The thing sniffs at the door once, twice, three times before heading off to God knows where. "Please don't get me, please don't get me, please don't get me," she starts to say again, until she hears the creature make its return back to her door. It sniffs once before letting out a growl and slamming its head into the door.

Elizabeth covers her mouth as she screams. She can hear the creature slamming its head into the door, trying to break it down. She lies down on her stomach and slides underneath her bed, hoping it won't find her. She grabs the shotgun and pulls it underneath as well.

The door suddenly gives way and falls to the ground with a bang. Elizabeth covers her mouth and closes her eyes; hoping that it will kill her quick and she won't even have to watch.

Her eyes snap open as she sees the creature's foot step in front of her…
