Hello! I'm NOT dead! This is actually my first fanfic for this pairing, as I just started shipping them recently, and I just recently got the hang of their personalities. *narrows eyes* I won't have any imperfect OOC characters, to have you know. Haha! JK! But seriously, please tell me if Klavier and/or Ema seem OOC for you. I haven't quite finished Apollo Justice yet (shhhh, don't tell anyone I'm only on the 3rd case/Turnabout Serenade), but I knew these two had chemistry somehow.
Klavier Gavin let out a sigh of exhaustion as he took a small break from the heavy workload. He laid his head back on his luxurious office chair and closed his eyes. Work was finally taking a toll on him. He was even too tired to visit his favorite source of entertainment and joy: Detective Ema Skye. Her reactions to his constant teasing were his saving grace. It amused him to no end, and he just simply enjoyed seeing her beautiful face every day, even though he knew she couldn't stand the sight of him.
Speaking of that angelic visage. He pulled out his fancy new iPhone and turned it on. A picture of his fräulein detective smiling serenely at something appeared on his screen, and a smile instantly appeared on his face. He had secretly taken this picture of her one day, when they were out investigating a crime scene and she was sitting on a bench, looking down at a bottle of some white powder. Her reminiscent smile indicated she was thinking of something nostalgic—fond memories. He was completely entranced by this face of hers, and, knowing he would probably never see it again, decided to immortalize the moment by snapping a quiet picture. As soon as the coast was clear, he set the photo as his background. The picture, he knew, would be a treasure that he would never bear to lose. Ema was too precious. He wished he had the energy to drive the long 30-minute drive to the police department just to see her adorable face.
*KNOCK*
A single bang of a knock echoed through his office before the door burst open. Only one would knock so rudely like that. He fumbled with his phone as he turned it off and shoved it in one of his pockets. He quickly turned his attention to the document he was looking at, hoping that it looked natural enough.
Ema herself walked into the room and—weirdly enough—gently placed a manila folder on his desk.
"Hi, fop."
Klavier's eyes drifted from the paper to the gorgeous woman in front of him. He cracked a boyish grin and said very childishly, "Hello, Fräulein. I've been waiting for you."
The afternoon instantly got better for him.
