So I decided to fix it... I totally re-wrote Good Guy Marshall and here it is!
This one is way better. Here's to hoping you like it! *raises glass*
Let me tell you about myself. I'm Marshall Lee Abadeer and I'm the vampire king. Of course, everyone knows that. I'm sure you read the first version of Good Guy Marshall and if you haven't, lucky you and don't even bother. It was horrible. I don't know who posted it on the internet, but it was nasty! And totally not true.
At least, completely. Yes, I am a 'bad boy.' No, Bubba didn't kill Fionna and I didn't bury her right after she told me she loved me. Most of that story was a lie, so I wanna spread the truth.
I've been with Fi for a little over a year now and it's been pretty good. But whenever we go out, the people always shout JOHN JACOB JINGLEHEIMER SCHMIDT! (I couldn't help myself)
Whenever we go out, I notice all the unhappy people of Aaa and I feel so helpless. So today, when Fionna and I got tired of dungeon crawling and junk, I suggested that we go out and cheer up the candy people. She told me she did that before and it was such hard work. I let her hang around the tree house with Cake for the rest of the day while I went to see Choose Goose.
I asked him for something that I can give to people to make them happy.
He told me, "You want something with happy powers? Why not pick a bunch of flowers!" He did a weird dance on his cart and I backed away slowly without saying "Thanks," or "Goodbye."
After picking as many wild flowers as I could carry, I brought them to the candy kingdom and gave one to every candy person I could see. Even Bubba and his creepy Peppermint Maid. I think I gave some peeps 2 by mistake, but I felt pretty good afterwards.
Leaving a happy Candy Kingdom behind me, I floated slowly back to Fionna and Cake's house with a huge grin on my face. I shoved open the door to see them both still playing videogames with BMO.
"You'll never guess what I did today!" I said, trying to get them to look up.
Nothing. I try again louder, "YOU'LL NEVER GUESS WHAT I DID TODAY!" Still nothing.
I go up behind Fi and squish her cheeks and she flips out and throws her controller at Cake. Cake in turn throws her controller at BMO who leaps up into my arms. I catch him/her and place him/her on the couch.
"What the dip, Marshall?! I was about to beat Cake!" Fi complains.
"No way, Fionna. I was 100 points ahead of you. There was no way you'd even get close to catching up." Cake stretches her arms to grab a cup of tea by the stove.
"Well," I prompt, "I guess you two are too busy bickering to find out what I did today so I guess I'll…" I start floating to the ladder.
"What did you do, Marsh?" Fionna eyes me and crosses her arms. Cake copies.
"I was totally nice to everyone I saw all day. And I gave each candy person a flower."
The pair laughs. I must have a hurt expression on my face because Fionna quickly stops and wipes a tear as she says, "Super sorry, Marshy. But I can't see you being nice to strangers. It's just too weird, you know?"
I probably still look upset because Fi walks up and yanks me down by the ankle to hug me. I lift her up into the air. We hug for a long time.
I look over her shoulder to see Cake passed out with a smile on her face. I turn my head to look at her soft face. She looks at me. We fall into a gentle kiss and then break apart. Fi sets her head on my shoulder and I carry her to bed.
Today was a good day…
