Super short one-shot. Takes place after Nagisa dies and Tomoya's wish to have her back is granted (In After Story)

Itsumade mo...

Tomoya stepped out into the crystal morning, feeling each snowflake melt on his warm skin, watching as the Sakura Blossoms swirled around him in the cold air. Each breath brought about a miniature snowstorm that over took his face, and each step brought him closer to the hill.

His footsteps echoed in the silent morning and he looked up at the trees lining each side of that hill, that hill that had become so sacred to him in the days past. He could turn, now, and look down that hill and see her, proof of his wish brought on by the heartbreak.

He would soon hear her footsteps echoing up the path after him, her own breath creating an endless swirl in front of her, her honey hair tangling with Cherry Blossom petals as they fell so gently from their places as a foreground to the sky.

Each Sakura Blossom falling was him falling in love with her, though he knew better of it. Each day he vowed to forget her, for her own good, and each day he left a broken vow in the wind with the clouds of their breath lingering in the cloud of Sakura, evidence of their passing on an empty road. Falling in love meant saying goodbye… and he wasn't ready to let go.

There was so much in her eyes that made this frigid air warmer, there was so much about her presence that made the Sakura pale and colorless in comparison to her.

A cry to her, echoed in the silent sky. A lone figure alone on the street, surrounded by the frigid air. Tomoya raised his face to the sky, letting go of everything but her. He couldn't let her go. She was his and he needed her. He needed her smile, her soft voice, her childish innocence. He had to say goodbye—she wasn't here. She would never be.

It seemed like an eternity he stood there, screaming in the silent, chilly morning, ignoring the swirling snow even as it blurred his vision and fused with the Sakura, turning his cries to silent sobs in the atmosphere.

"Tomoya," a voice clear as the snowy sky rang out to him and he looked over with wide, tortured eyes at her, at Nagisa. "You don't have to say goodbye—I'm right here!" Her smile melted the snow and the blossoms in the wind split as she approached, her honey eyes dancing.

His wish… it hit him suddenly, stopping the wind as she held out her hand to him, her hair and dress blowing towards him in the still wind.

He wouldn't say goodbye… never… not for an eternity.

Just a short one-shot that I wrote at 1:40 in the morning, listening to Utada Hikaru's "Sakura Drops/Letters" in Japanese and translating as well as I could while writing...

Clannad was my first anime ever and it was a matter of time before I wrote a fic, though it's a short one-shot. Here I am, two years after watching the anime and still the thought of it brings tears to my eyes! I'm such a baby! Anyways, R&R.
