Authors notes: Ok this is but a short little angsty ficlet, just a glimpse into Helena's thoughts, just had in running through my mind, I have ideas on doing longer Helena/ Barbara fic, but I don't know. Hope everyone enjoys.
She's the blade
She's the blade that cuts my heart. It hurts every time she gets closer, and it bleeds every time she pushes me away. I know she has her reasons for going through all the trouble of carrying on everyday. I don't always believe her when she says nothing will come between what we have whatever the fuck that may be. I really hate her sometimes, almost as much as I fucking love her. Its amazing how one damn smile from her can make me feel like dancing in the clouds, but most of the time I feel like i'm just caught in the rain.
I don't dare tell her I love her, I cant give her everything, cause I know that all I'll be left with is nothing. I know that if it ever starts, I'll just fall apart and fuck everything up. It really pisses me off, I don't want to love Barbara, but I do with every fiber of my being. I lie to her, I put her through hell, I do what I have to but really She could slit my throat and I know that I would apologize for bleeding on her fucking shirt, even with my last dying breath.
I've tried to walk away, but I cant I need it so bad, the sweet torture of unrequited love. If I weren't surrounded by darkness I would probably stare at the sun. I'm doing everything I can to hold on to a wish of what we could have been, but every time the ground falls out from beneath me I wonder if id be better off being her memory.
