But that's no way to start this story…
Two weeks earlier
I awoke to see a dull gray light filtering in through the window, as I turned away from the brightness and into something hard
A low chuckle came from the left side of the bed
I mumbled something even I didn't even understand, I must still be in that wonderful dream, not quite yet awake
As a cold hand turned by make towards the source of the chuckle… realization hit
the laughter was coming from a boy, my boy, my fiancé to be more exact, I was living my wonderful dream and it just kept getting better.
"Good morning" Edward whispered low in my ear
"mmornin" I managed to get out as I tried to fully open my eyes
I peaked at the clock 6am... no wonder my body didn't want to get up, we had gotten back a 1am, today was going to be interesting
I didn't function well on little sleep
"Bella just go back to sleep"
"no, now I'm up and you'll just have to deal with it"
"oh, well I think I can handle you" he said with a smirk as he leaned down to kiss my forehead, then moving to my lips
I suddenly became very aware that I had not brushed my teeth in almost 24 hours
"just where do you think you're going" he griped harder as I tried to pull away,
"Have kiss to brush kiss teeth" I tried to get out
"utter nonsense" he said and continued to kiss every square inch of my face and neck
Not that I didn't love this but, really I had to get up sometime… my body just required more things than that of the undead
"we are supposed to be ready to go at 7am" I said in a last ditch effort to distract him because I knew I could never ask him to stop this bliss
"Alice can wait" he replied quickly
"have you met your sister? She and patience aren't generally used in the same paragraph" I said just as quickly
He sighed, defeated by the truth of the situation, if we weren't ready five minuets before we were supposed be Alice would never shut up about it
I went into the bathroom to shower and get ready, I was to tired last night to go through the process
"Charlie left another note for you" I heard through the bathroom door,
it seems recently notes were the only communication Charlie and I shared
"I guess they have a suspect in custody" Edward was referring to the homicide case Charlie was helping the Olympia police with
"I think this is the first time in a long time Charlie feels like he's really doing police work…" I said down the stairs, knowing he would be able to hear me
"Bella why aren't you down here yet?" a small voice called up the stairs
Oh, no Alice! It was just like her to be 30 minuets early... and I thought I was doing so well
"I want you to wear this today"
leave it to Alice to have my outfit picked out in 20 seconds
"ok" I grumbled
It was entirely too early to fight a losing battle, so I simply got dressed and headed down the stair, I was immediately encased in strong cold arms
"Hello beautiful, you ready for today" Edward said as he turned me around to face him
"are you two ever going to tell what is going on today?" I asked without any real hope
Alice giggled as she said "Where would the fun be in that"
