I stood on the bank,

My soul going blank,

Your face upturned, your smile down in faded glory,

I knew then you where at the end of your story.

How can I tell him?

How can it be?

You, my brother, are dead.

I just cannot see.

You where strong and tall,

Set on never letting our city fall.

But yet, you fell,

And I live to tell.

My brother,

My friend,

My brother,

Your end.

How can I tell him?

How can it be?

You, my brother, are dead.

I just cannot see.

You where the favorite,

You where his son,

Yet I was as well,

It was you, who in his battle, won.

But you still loved,

You stilll cared,

You still loved me,

And where always there.

Osgiliath you won,

His heart, you captured.

He left me behind,

His dark, your light never raptured.

How can I tell him?

How can it be?

My brother is dead,

I just cannot see.

I stood on the bank,

My soul soon going blank,

Boromir of Gondor,

The pride of our father,

Your journey will go, no farther.
