Summary: She felt him when she slept... Rose's POV
She felt him when she slept. Felt the sadness and the pain that was mirrored in her own soul. She could feel his desperation and his loneliness, feel the deep love he held for her that tore him apart inside. It tore at her to feel these things, to know that he couldn't move on. His pain was great and it called out to her, begging to be eased, but there was nothing she could do. She was gone from him, locked away in a place that he said he couldn't reach. That didn't mean she'd given up hope.
She lived each day in a trace, putting on a show to all those around her that she'd moved on, but her heart and soul screamed inside. She'd never get over it. She didn't want too. She was afraid that she'd truly lose him if she did. So she lived that fantastic life he'd wanted her too, but it was at night, while she slept that she truly lived. When she could feel him lying next to her like the old days. When she could curl up into his side and feel him running fingers through her hair. And though she could feel his pain, she knew she'd rather feel that then nothing at all.
