Short fic is short… This is the shortest fic I've ever written. BUT who cares? I got a sudden urge and this came of it. Inspiration and idea courtesy of TomMadeleine and her awesome comic at DeviantART. Thank you! And ahem, I've been thinking about doing a CollegeAU for Star Trek… We'll see how that goes though, school is currently conspiring to murder me with work.

Jim wasn't the least bit surprised to find his roommate still sitting at his desk with his nose deep in an advanced medicine book. Or advanced biology book. Or advanced- oh, never mind. There was really no way Jim was keeping track of all the stuff Bones studied. The door swished shut behind him when he finally stepped out of the doorway. He noted that the good doctor hadn't reacted to the door.
"I'm back!", Jim chirped as loudly as he could manage without slurring.
Bones started marginally and dropped his pen unceremoniously on the floor. The brown haired man turned sharply in his chair and glared at Jim.
"Dammit Jim! Where've you been? I was-!", the doctor cut himself short when he noticed the light stagger in the blond's step. "Jesus man, you got drunk again didn't ya?"
Jim gave a silly grin. "I jus' had a few drinks. See, I met this gorgeous gal and I thought I'd-"
"I don't wanna hear about your drunken adventures Jim! Now shut up, I'm trying to study!", Bones turned back to his desk and picked his pen back up in the process.
Jim stayed put for a while, wondering about the possibility of distracting his roommate from his inflexible dates with his books. And PADDs. He smirked amusedly at that thought. Had he been any more inebriated then he would've sat in Bones' lap and demanded he devote his time to more fun activities. Seeing as how he wasn't, and that such actions would most likely result in some hypospraying pain, he decided to just say annoy the man instead. That was fun too.
Jim swaggered over with his hands in his pockets, just in case he was unable to refrain from temptation, and went to stand behind his best friend.
He lent down and put his lips against the curve of Bones' right ear. "Stop being so grumpy all the time."
The brown haired man froze up slightly before turning to bellow at Jim. "Goddammit Jim, don't freakin' DO THAT!"
The blond just chuckled and put a hand on his friend's shoulder. "Don't push yourself too hard, okay?"
Jim smiled at the doctor before leaving for his bedroom. Bones stared after him completely astounded for a while. Before turning back to his desk again with the smallest upturning of his lips.
"Idiot."
So that was fun… I love Jim, he's epic awesome. Not fitting name for this thing I now realize…
