The Legends of the Pokémon World

Prologue

Fifteen years ago…

The Silph Co. HQ was full up with Team Rocket members, all wearing the traditional blackish uniform. Many of the members burst through the main doors, heading to the counter near the front. The woman there said, 'Hello. Is there anything that I can do to help you?' One of the grunts, presumably the leader of the lot, got his handgun out of his jacket, pointing it at the woman.

'Where are the plans? Our boss ordered us to move into this base, and we need the plans for the… The Red Gyrados. If you don't give us the plans…' he slightly pulled back the trigger. 'You say bye-bye.'

'I don't know what you're talking about. I don't-' BANG! The grunt immediately shot the woman, her body falling to the floor. A pool of blood suddenly started to rush out of her chest.

'Now, let's find those plans!'

Fifteen years later, in present day…

"Perfect." Giovanni flipped some sort of metal object on his desk. A clash gently followed. "Tsk-tsk-tsk. I should thank the pokemon league organisers for allowing me to be the new Viridian Gym Leader. This rainbow badge…is a sign of my strength." A knock came at the door, and Giovanni ordered the person to come into his room, "Come in!"

The man came rushing in. His brown hair rushed across his shoulders as he ran over to Giovanni. "Sir, we have finally gained some information from that group of scientists." He ran to the desk, and placed a book by Giovanni. "This book shows about Mew and it's stronger clone."

"Really…?" He opened the book, flipping through the pages. A note caught his eye. He pulled it out, placing the note in front of him on the desk. "Hmm…what's this? The Origin of Mewtwo…? Let's read it…"

The Origin of Mewtwo

We saw a stray Mew while we were searching in a forest. We were able to get a strand of it's DNA, which we used to recreate a version of Mew itself. This was not a live Mew, however it was enough to clone it into a new Mew.

But the experiment backfired, and Mew grew bigger and stronger, and we then named it Mew'two'. Mewtwo destroyed our lab in the process, and we unfortunately lost the lives of three of our men.

We put further experiments on Mew, like putting armour on it so it could battle, but it would be protected from attacks. That was when we discovered it's telepathic powers. It seemed to gain those powers, though it lost Mew's 'metamorphosis' power.

Then it destroyed the building, and escaped. Presumably it went somewhere to stay safe. And due to Mewtwo's preferred habitat, it means that it may be at C—'

The rest of the note was torn.

"Hmmm….", Giovanni said, slamming his square, strong fist onto the table. He threw his smooth metal pen across the table to the person on the other side. "Nobody knows where Mewtwo may be at. I will have to ask the whole of Team Rocket to search for it. Oh, and what did you say your name was?"

The scientist gently replied. "J-John Crotchett, sir."

"Mr. Crotchett… If we ever do capture Mewtwo, you will get £10,000,000 for your actions. But for now… let's get to work."
