He knew it was wrong, but no matter how hard he tried he couldn't stop. They were brothers. Brothers, and who knew each other better than brothers? Growing up they constantly fought; play fighting some of the time and actual physical fighting too, but they loved each other. A day didn't go by that Matt never uttered the words "I love you Jeff" but now, it wasn't sibling love he felt, but pure love deep inside his heart.
He couldn't tell him though, what was he supposed to say? "Jeff, I'm in love with you." No, there was no way he could to that to him, to Beth, to their Dad.
He dealt with it as best as he could; a smile etched on his face when they were in the ring and in the public eye, but behind closed doors it was a different story. The deep red marks on his arms told the truth; the almost healed ones that were months old and the ones less than an hour old, the last few drops of blood seeping out.
A knock on the door bought him back to reality; Jeff's voice calling
"You ready Matt?"
He wiped away a tear, pulled on his shirt being careful not to nick the fresh wounds and called back
"Just coming Jeff." Only to hear back;
"I'll wait for ya outside bro."
Brother...that was all he would ever be to Jeff. A brother.
