I do not own Kingdom Hearts, am not related to them, and do not work for them. This is a fan writing, and credits to The Carpenters for inspiring me to do this.

It was way past my curfew too.

"DARN IT!" Snarling away, Demyx stomped into the room of Roxas'. Axel, Xion and Larxene were there busy eating away at Sea-salt ice-cream, and so was Roxas. The lowest of the rankings were busy eating away at their treat, watching VIII play a Nintendo DS. Larxene looked up from her ice-cream, with a mumble, she asked, "What's gotten into you?" Demyx frowned at his colleagues and folded his arms. "Xemnas refused my request on reducing missions for me. This whole week I've been stressed out with recon!" Pouting, he added, "I just don't know what to do anymore.. I'm not sure who I am already.."

Passing the DS to Roxas and Xion, Axel stood up and, still nibbling away at the ice-cream, went to his room and came out with a few sheets of paper. "You can still play your sitar right? Why not try playing this relaxing song on it, it certainly helped me." Raising a brow, Demyx questioned, "You play on my sitar?" "Hmp," he grunted. "I play it on the 'net. Synthesia." Axel passed the music notes to Demyx as he stretched out another arm for his sitar.

The youths leaning against the bed placed down the game console on the floor, and looked up. "So Demyx's gonna play a song? What is it, Axel?" Xion asked, muffled. "It's a simple song, believe me. I think you kids heard it before, I've taught it to you." Roxas and Xion exchanged flustered glances, before looking up to Demyx, who had taken position on the bed. He shuffled through the notes before nodding. As the first notes drifted in, the two Keyblade Masters grinned. "Axel, can we sing along too?" Roxas pipped in. "Sure," Axel added.

"Sing." Roxas and Xion swayed from side to side, holding their ice-creams. Axel leaned against the door, eyes closed, and Larxene sat down beside him.
"Sing a song."
"Sing out loud," Roxas sang.
"Sing out strong!" Xion smiled at Demyx.

"Sing of good things, not bad," Axel mumbled, smiling to himself.
"Sing of happy, not sad," Larxene grinned.

"Sing," the four started singing together.
"Sing a song."
"Make it simple," Demyx sang."To last your whole life long!"

"Don't worry that it's not good enough, for anyone else to hear," the Keyblade Masters duet.
"Sing," Larxene and Axel murmured.
"Sing a song." Demyx smiled.

Grinning, Demyx handed the sheets of music back to Axel with thanks. "I feel much better now, thanks to you guys. Tell you what," Demyx raised a finger. "I'll treat you guys to a sea-salt ice-cream tomorrow. How about it?" Larxene yawned. "Nah, I don't want it. And it's about time I headed out for my mission, see ya." She raised a hand as a sign of farewell, before rushing off.

"So, ice-creams tomorrow?" The trio, at once, nodded their heads in delight.
