The Blue and Pink Flowers

It was a pretty day, skies were blue and the grass was green. I was walking along a dark stone path when I saw you sitting there all alone. Your eyes were blue with a hint of pink. I wouldn't mind staring at something so beautiful all day like you.

"Why do you look so glum?" I ask.

"I don't feel happy. I thank you for asking kind man," she replies.

I smile and she smiles back. She truly is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. I decide to come up with a way to cheer her up, but my charming skills aren't the best.

"What might be your name my lady?" She looks up and smiles and looks back at the ground.

"My name, well nobody's ever asked me that before. Ok my names Eliza," she questions me.

I nod my head trying to get the courage to tell her my name.

"My name is Gandloff." I say.

I kick a rock towards the farthest stone I can. It ends up in a flower garden. There comes a perfect idea! Flowers, which should surly, cheer her up! I run over to the garden and pick two beautiful blue flowers the color of her eyes…they even have pink spots on the petals.

"Here, I thought you might like them. All I want to see is your pretty smile my lady! There's nothing as beautiful as yours." I feel embarrassed but not ashamed of what I'd just said.

There is some kind of connection between us. I can feel my veins twitching every moment! My heart is bound to beat right out of my chest any second now.

"Thank you, I love them!" she pauses. "Why are you acting so kind?"

"Because you are beautiful, I see great things in you. You are everything a man would want! You don't think that though." I'm urged to tell the truth! I can't hold back my feelings; something is forcing me to tell her how I feel.

"Oh my, you are so nice. When I saw you walking I thought that nobody like you would ever love a girl like me, but I might be wrong. I hope I'm wrong." I stare into her eyes longing for a kiss. Is that what she wants? It's what I want.

"I love you." I feel so stupid feeling this way for a woman the first time I meet her! Why am I so dumb! I want to apologize, but she responds.

"I love you too!" she looks happy and not melancholic. The sky turns bright and the flowers look even prettier, as does her features. Her red hair is blowing in the summer breeze and lips plumper than earlier. I wonder if she's the one. Will my father approve of loving someone so far away from where we live?

"Then we shall love each other if that's what our hearts desire most."

As soon as I hold her hands she leans in for a kiss…I brush mine against hers and we sit there and continue for a good few minutes. She has to be the one! Before I know it we are running towards the lake that surrounds the garden. We sit on the water's edge, feet in. We look at each other for a while.

"I can't believe we found each other!" I tell her.

She just keeps staring at me.

"Is something wrong?" I ask.

"No…..nothing at all"
