Chapter 1

"Beep, beep, beep," the alarm clock went at 6AM on a Monday morning.

Miley groaned and whacked the alarm clock till it was silent. She slowly got out of bed and shuffled over to the bathroom to take a shower. "I wonder what that beautiful blonde bombshell is doing right now," Miley thought to herself. "No," she said aloud quickly reprimandingherself. "You aren't supposed to think these things about girls, especially not your best friend," Miley said whilst getting into the shower.

For the past couple of weeks Miley had started to develop some more than friendly feelings towards her blonde best friend. It had started when Miley and Jake had broken up after he cheated on her and switched schools. After getting ready Miley trudged downstairs for breakfast.

"Hey Bud," her Dad called to her as she reached the kitchen. "Ready for school today?" he asked.

"It's a Monday morning, the start of a long week of school. What do you think?" she shot back at him.

"Sheesh just asking," Mr. Stuart replied while pretending to be hurt.

Just then the phone rang. Miley picked it up and said, "Hello."

"Lilly landing in 15," the voice on the other end shouted.

Miley walked to the front door and opened it up as Lilly rolled in.

"And my day just got soooo much better," Miley said to herself. "You ready to go Miles," Lilly happily exclaimed.

"Sure," Miley replied while grabbing her stuff.

As the two girls were walking and talking on the way to school they noticed a boy on his bike passing them. "Hmm, he must be new here," Lilly said.

"Yeah," Miley said while staring off at him curiously. "But I swear I've seen him before," Miley thought to herself.

While they were talking about the boy Miley and Lilly noticed that the boy kept slowing down and glancing back at Miley. However, neither had a chance to say anything because the mystery boy ran into a lamp post while trying to look back.

"Oh my gosh, are you okay," Miley shouted while running over to him.

"Miley?" he slurred out while looking up at her from the ground.

"COLLIN," Miley shouted back down to him. "Is that really you I can't believe you're in Malibu! How, when, why?"

Before he had a chance to answer though Lilly cut in saying, "Whoa I'm confused. Do you two know each other?"

"Yeah," Miley said with a grin. "We were like best friends back in Tennessee."

"Oh all right," Lilly said with a hint of jealousy in her voice.

"Okay let's catch up on the way to school," Miley said to Collin. He nodded in agreement. As they began to walk Miley thought to herself, "Did Lilly seem jealous when I said that we were best friends?" "We'll have to see where this can lead," Miley thought while smiling deviously.
