"Your words are poison."

"Leave me alone, Snake!"

Her words are poison when she says such things; he watches her sleep in the darkest corners of her quarters, watching her chest rise and fall with each peaceful breath; he does not dare to reveal herself to her . . what would she say, then?

He knows perhaps it is wrong; he is much older than her, but he loves her.

At night, he will enter her bedroom on soft, cat-like steps; he has always been the stealthiest; and he will caress her sweet face, and that is the only time that she will lean into his touch, and he savors these moments.

He watches her cry over her brother's bed and he wishes, oh how he wishes to kiss these tears away, because such a beautiful, lovely thing should not shed tears lest they be happy tears.

Her sadness makes his heart hurt, but the Wizard has promised him that he will have her in the end. (he doesn't know that the Wizard will break his promise) In the end, he will finally be able to hold her, touch her, kiss her. . and he ignores the voice in his head that it will be against her will. She will find, soon enough, that he is the only one for her.

He dreams of kissing her, loving her, touching her; and her, kissing him, loving him, touching him. . and he knows he will have that.

Then, he is banished; he begs Théoden, to keep him under his service . . but he is begging her. He is begging her sweet face, the face in his dreams, in his nightmares, in his reality.

As he is thrown onto a horse, she looks victorious; triumphant. Hating.

"Leave none alive!"

The orcs cheer victoriously, but he feels as if he has made the single greatest mistake of his life.

The Wizard lied.

/ Well . . I have to admit I am disappointed in myself. As much as I love the pairing Grima/Eowyn - and you know I love it - this is not very good, not at all. But the idea popped into my head out of nowhere and so I simply had to share it. I tried to make it creepy and rather disturbing but it ended up corrupting my mind into making it all soft and sweet and not so creepy at all. Woe is me. Review? Clicky button. You know you want to?
