Permeate

By Any Unborn Child

Two different people had let different influences permeate their lives.

Euphemia li Britannia, Third Princess of the Britannian Empire, was so used to getting what she wanted out of life, being one of royalty and all that her name provided. She didn't ask for as much as her siblings did – she didn't really need it. She was very kind and very open-minded, not being able to help but see the tragedies that struck Area 11 on a regular basis, and feeling that she needed to do something. She found a kindred spirit in one Eleven, or in her case one Japanese boy, named Suzaku Kururugi – their bond was tied very quickly, the ribbons of their connections wound ever so tightly, but there was another force at work as the strings holding the two together were forever cut.

Luciano Bradley, the so-called Vampire Britannia, didn't have as much luck as the Third Princess. Despite having a noble upbringing, he felt as if he had to scrounge and beg for the attention of others all his life – nothing was given to him freely, not material things anyway. There was only so much rejection a person could take. So, instead of simply being a cooperative member of society – it simply wasn't in his personality – he commanded attention by fighting and killing people, all in the name of Britannia. He relished the battlefield as if it were his second home, or rather his first home – he could do whatever he wanted to anyone, and he would be rendered a great hero. And no one would be the wiser to his criminal acts.

They had heard of each other.

They had been in reference to each other's existence.

And they had both let others permeate their destinies, forcefully and otherwise.
