This fic is based of the quote: There is a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore like an idiot.
"Dad, we've been standing on the shore for at least seven hours and we haven't caught one fish."
"Oh, it hasn't been that long, son, more like 45 minutes. Anyway, you have to give the fish some time," replied Mr. Pevencie to his 6 year old son, Peter. Mr. Pevencie ruffled Peter's golden hair.
Peter made a face and flattened his hair in to place. "I think 45 minutes is enough time for smelly fishes."
Mr. Pevencie *chuggled, "No, son. Patience is what makes fishing. If you can't learn to be patient then you can't catch a fish. If you can't catch a fish, you can't be a Fisherman."
Peter was quite for a while. "Dad… What are you if you're doing everything like a fisherman but haven't learned patience?"
The elder was taken aback by this question and thought about it for a while. "I guess then your man standing on the shore not catching a fish." He says somewhat hesitantly.
"You mean like an idiot?" Peter asks insistently.
Mr. Pevencie gives him the eye, "Yes, I suppose so."
*Have you ever noticed that when a man or a woman chuckles or giggles it basically sounds the same only from a different gender? Well, I decided to combine the two words because they're the same basic thing making it chuggle. Don't you chuggle at this. It was either chuggle or gickle.
Hey guys!
So what did you guess think? I thought it was cute because it reminded me of when my brothers and dad would go fishing and my sisters and I would go catch tiny frogs for the men folk to use as bate (yeah, we're evil).
