Set just before Harry's sixth year, it's the summer holidays.

Harry's breath caught itself in his throat as he lay on the grass next to Luna. They were both looking up at the starry sky and were lying out on the fields near The Burrow.

They had come over to stay for the summer. Harry didn't want to go back to the Dursley's and Luna's father had gone on an expedition in Norway so they had both come to stay. They had left everybody else behind in the Burrow and had decided to go outside for a walk as they felt that the tiny house was a bit too stuffy.

"Luna?" he whispered, though he thought he had said it confidently.

"Harry?" she said.

"Will you go out with me?" he asked, much to Luna's surprise as well as himself. He hadn't expected to say what he had just said. He was going to talk about the stars but maybe his mind had been on something else... someone else... someone like Luna. "Not as friends but like you and me, like boyfriend and girlfriend, like lovers...? I love you and I was hoping to ask if you do too and... yeah. I love you."

He wondered if she found the situation awkward as she didn't make a reply for him. What if she didn't share the same feelings for him? Had he read her signs wrong?

She suddenly sat up and pointed at the stars with her pale fingers. Harry sat up right after her and looked towards where she is pointing. When he looked at her from the corner of his eyes, he saw that her's had gone all dreamy.

"Let's be like the stars, Harry." she said in her ethereal tone that he had grown to love more and more as he spent more time with her. "We'll always be together no matter what... Never moving... as in love-wise. We'll only be separated by death... like when stars explode. I love you too. I feel like I have a real friend."

He then leaned forward to kiss her. He found that her lips were moist and soft, and he liked it. He didn't make any move on her with his tongue as he wanted to take things slowly with her, besides, a simple peck on the lips was more than enough for him as he felt like he was in heaven.

When their lips drifted apart, he looked into her blue-grey eyes to find that she was smiling through them.

"Does this mean we're going out?" Harry asked her.

"I think so." she said, before adding. "Harry have you seen my shoes? I think the Nargles took them."

He looked around for her shoes before remembering that she had walked out from the Burrow bare feet. He didn't want to remind nor disappoint her with the fact that nargles didn't exist, but since she believed that they did, he was going to too because he loved her.

"I can't find them." he said. "It's pretty dark. They'll probably drop your shoes off by the Weasley's door tomorrow. I'm sure they'll give it back."

"You think so?"

"Positive."

The two began to make their way back to the Burrow. Hermione and Ron were going to find out about their relationship in no time...
