This is a short part of a book I'm writing with my best friend.

Ryuken sat at peace under Celestial sphere with the soft breeze playing with his ruby hair and his light brown eyes looked around. The grass moved with the wind letting out the sound of the gust of wind. "You see?" he told me calmly "Kurogane and me weren't always like that" he looked into my eyes. I'm pretty sure it was the only time I saw him fully awake "we used to be best friends. We were together all the time… We wanted to be the best, the strongest we can be…" He sighed.
"And…?" I leaned forward. I wanted to know what happened between those two.
"Well" he said "My father, Masaru, the leader of this forsaken village murdered my dear mother in cold blood when I was only 9 years old so that he can marry another woman in a diplomatic marriage" he told me with his eyes showing sorrow and grief "But here… no one gives a damn, everyone around here are apathetic or too scared to stand up against him".
I sat in shock. I hate my mother I won't deny it, but I could never imagine a world without her "And…. W-what did you do?"
"Me?" he said with a painful grin "I ran away. I've faked and directed my own ferocious death because if I ran away he will come after me since I will be a traitor to the village" he moved his hand through his hair as it stood up in utter disorder "So I changed my name, compounded a potion that will change my appearance and hid from him" he stretched softly "And Kurogane, the bitch he is, jumped on the catch and offered himself to my father as the next leader"
My eyes gaped in stupor "How could he able to do that?!"
"Easily" he replied "Since I am naturally lazy my father thought I was incapable of doing anything and he, unlike me, trained from day until night and he is powerful, handsome and young" he shrugged "you see? That's how things work here Anna, the strongest man rules" he sat up straight and looked into my eyes. I felt a pleasant shiver down my spine as my cheeks blushed in the shade of crimson.
