Diana, Artemis, and Luna'sTale
Princess Sango
Ever wonder why Diana is the only cat of Artemis and Luna? Here's their tale.
Diana was born in from a litter of six. Diana being the youngest out of six, and Sale was the oldest. Each was given to a sailor scout. Rini had Diana, Lita had Midnight, Nina had Snow, Ray had Saren, Amy had Mix, and Darien had Kara.
Well, everyone got along pretty well, each with a moon on their foreheads. Their names, all except Diana's, Kara's, and Saren were named after looks. Midnight was black, Snow was white, and Mix was spotted. They lived with their owners for one year, until the fateful day on May 12.
May 12 flashback:
"What's the matter Luna?" asked Serena.
Luna looked up at the night sky in a daze, "A bunch of things..."
Serena gave Luna a puzzled look, and Artemis joined Luna at the window.
"I sense it too, Luna. It's calling, every one of us, our whole family."
"We will not go," she stated defiantly.
"Go where?" Serena asked.
"We thought it wasn't going to come down to telling you, Serena, but every three years, a calling comes for us," intervened Artemis.
"What calling?" Serena was more confused then ever.
"They call us so they can pick the next successor, the next one to rule. We seemed to be able to avoid it, because we were busy training you. Now that it's settling, every Lunar Cat will be pulled in."
"Would that include your kittens?" she asked.
"Yes, if they are tempted to go," Luna answered, "They'll get curious. We warned them, but it depends... Are you listening Serena?"
Serena was smiling, "They won't let them out. Don't worry about it, Luna and Artemis. We'll check them out tomorrow."
No warnings, soon everyone, could see the kittens being lifted up in the air. Luna counted all of them; there was nothing she could do. She only found Diana missing, her littlest child, the one that was with Rini, tucked in bed.
"If only...they didn't go outside."
You could hear the kitten cries, screaming for their parents.
"Can they come back, once they get there?"
"No, not unless they become rich, and have enough money to get back on the Lunar Express, that can take awhile," said Luna sadly.
She had a tear running down her cheek.
Artemis came and tried to comfort her, "It's okay, they'll find out. We'll live, and they'll come back some day."
Serena stared at the kittens, they were dots now. "They'll have to come back. They left their sister here, andtheir parents."
In came Diana, "Mommy, Daddy, I feel a pull."
"Don't leave too, Diana, please no!" begged Luna.
"No, I'll never leave you. Don't you understand? I can't abandon Rini, you, or anyone else."
"You promise?" asked Serena.
"Of course so please don't be sad. We'll wait together." Diana jumped in the middle of them. She stared at her sisters, and her brother. She let a five tears roll down, one for each. "I'll see you when you come back, family."
On that day, Diana, Artemis, and Luna wait by the same windowsill. Waiting for the family to return, and Diana knows they'll be bound to come back someday.
