A/N: More poetry for English. This was supposed to be an elegy, but I'm not really sure if it is or not.

The Light eclipsed the setting Moon

As it fell down, and though it tried

To reach the stars, it slipped right through

Darkness crept in as it swiftly died

xXx

The lunar rays faded, phased out of sight

Unseen by any, cared for by none

Well, none except for a different Light,

The one who was once his friend, the Sun.

xXx

They shared the galaxy for so long

Before the Moon rejected Sun's glow

For its own power, but it waned as the evensong

Drowned it down to the tide below

xXx

The sea is dark, away from the Sun

Moon didn't expect it to pull him deep

But the depths persistently tugged and won

And Moon lamented in its fitful sleep

xXx

Oh, the Sun was already gone

To a better place when the Moon died

But Sun felt the lack of Moon's gravity on

Its core, and so it cursed the tide

xXx

The solar cycle comes and goes

Sun hopes the Moon will someday return

And accept its Light, its friendly glow

But it's too late, the Moon can't spurn

xXx

The darkness eating at its core

The waves eroding the dusty crust

And so if it drowns forevermore

The sun will mourn, but move on it must.

A/N: If you didn't get it, the Moon is Saïx, the Sun is Axel, and the first light is Sora. The sea would be either darkness in general or heartlessness, or maybe Xemnas/Xehanort since everything is really his fault.

Arg this is depressing... I blame Dream Drop Distance; that's what inspired this. Stupid canon!Saix...
