Chapter One: Pain
She ran and ran, but she knew she could not escape him. He didnt care about her at all. all she was to him was a Jewel Detector and even Kikyo could do a better job at that than she could. He saw the look on her face, the thoughts that rushed through her mind, the sadness pouring from her soul, but still he showed no sign of remorse. He was with Kikyo holding her in his arms, the same embrace that Kagome wanted to be in. He also Knew how much she loved him and she also knew he still had strong feelings for Kikyo. She knew she couldnt compete with Kikyo, she was Inuyasha's first love. She had just thought that her an Inuyasha would always be with each other and he seemed to like her well enough. She actually thought they had a future together and shes finally realized that she was wrong.
She ran untill she couldnt any more, she clumped to the ground beside a large tree," how could you Inuyasha..."
What would she tell the others or what would he tell the others, she couldnt make up her mind. ' what to do' she thought. It wasnt long before she desided that she wasnt going back to camp. That Inuyasha and the others didnt need her anymore, they had Kikyo now. She leaned back against the tree and tears silently fell from her eyes. " oh.. Inuyasha..."
Inuyasha had seen Kagome, the look on her face. At the moment he didnt care he was still with Kikyo, but still Kagome was on his mind and he didnt know why. Kikyo lifted her head off his shoulder, " something on your mind Inuyasha?"
Inuyasha shook his head breaking him out of his daze, " Uh... no... nothing." He hugged her tightly.
" Inuyasha, I know what you were thinking of.. its that sillly little girl you always hang around, isnt it?" She moved back a step.
" Dont be silly I could care less about her," he lied and pulled her closer again.
Kagome's mind was a daze all she could think about was him, his laughter, his smile, the way she felt when she was with him. She looked around her, the forest seemed so quiet. she looked and just happened to notice the tree that she was sitting at. The Sacred Tree. She burst into tears, " Back to the place where we first met." She placed her hand on the tree's trunk and raced her hand up to the place where Inuyasha once layed dormant. " I cant stop thinking about him! but why? hes better off without me... He loves Kikyo and nothing goings to change that. Not even my love for him." She slid down the tree and cried softly she was so upset she stood up and started runninf again "why inuyasha why?' she thought as she slammed into a tree trunk. "AHHHHHH OWWWW my head!" she fell to the ground. ' i hate this i just wish i could die' she thought but ended up saying it aloud.
Just then a shadow looking thing stepped out of the bushes, " come now a maden as pretty as you should not have any troubles. why are you crying my divine Beauty?"
She got up and walked off. This guy was charming but he kinda scared her. He showed up at the exact time she needed someone to be there for her. Was he following her all this time or was it just a coincidence. I guess she wasnt going to find out she walked to the well and jumped inside. She was home in a matter of minutes.
