Author's note: This is a little, as my history teacher would say, 'wishy washy, cotton wool' (basically it's rather vague and confusing) but A. This was a piece of literal writing I did for a roleplay where I played Nanaki (*squeals*), B. This was really the first piece of writing I had done from an existing character's P.O.V and C. I actually didn't know much about Final Fantasy VII at the time I wrote it. All that pushed aside, reviews are highly appreciated.
Thanks for taking the time to read this

Nanaki ran, ran away from Sephiroth who had killed his friend Aeris. He could hear his almost too calm, monotone voice calling after him.
"Weak cat, I shall give you the gift of an eternal sleep."
Still, Nanaki fleed from the villain, scared that he would be killed if he didnt. Then, in a blink of an eye, that soft gentle voice surrounded him, and the scene was no longer haunting.
"Running away?" Aeris asked as Nanaki entered the church where she used to grow her flowers, searching for safety in the holy place. Nanaki skidded to a halt, looking around and finding no sign of his friend. Then appearing quietly like the ghost she was, Aeris was there, standing next to him, stroking his fur absent mindedly. Nanaki sighed.
"Yes, what else am I supposed to do? I promised I would protect Tifa, but in order to do that, I must fight Sephiroth and i'm not sure if I can take him down by myself."
He heard Sephiroth call out, his voice seeming closer than before. Aeris ignored the one winged angel's menacing voice and giggled.
"You're so funny sometimes." She told Nanaki. "You'll never be alone. Cloud will help you and so will I."
Nanaki shook his head. "But your dead, there's no way you can help."
"Of course I can!" Aeris told him, her voice, serious now, gradually getting quieter. "My healing powers might still work, and even if they dont, I will never abandon you even if i'm not alive. Remember that."...
Nanaki woke up then with jump. It had been a while since Aeris had visited his dreams and he was grateful that she had returned. Red XIII looked around to find that Tifa was still asleep under the tree nearby. Red stretched and got up. He took a short stroll, keeping Tifa in his sight and reflected on the dream, remembering every word Aeris had said in it.
