A/N: After that finale, I had to write something!

Disclaimer: I don't own CSI. If I did, well...I think you can guess who would still be there...him and Sara.

Dead and Gone

He wasn't supposed to be cleared. Had everything gone right, he would have been convicted and locked up, not sitting in a diner having breakfast with is coworkers. No, he wasn't supposed to be cleared. There was supposed to be enough evidence to get him locked up and out of the way, not exonerate him and set him free.

Now, he's a loose end.

The amnesia isn't going to last forever, he'll remember it all eventually, and I can't have that now, can I? Not at all, not at all.

No, he has to be taken care of, and who better to do it than myself? I could send someone else, but that's what got him freed in the first place. No, I won't make that mistake again. I want this done right; I don't want those pesky CSIs on my tail this time.

So, I'll wait for him to finish eating. I'll wait for him to leave, alone, as I know he will, and then I'll take my chance. He trusts me enough that it will be easy. Quick and painless…for me, anyway.

That's the plan, anyway. And, if it goes right, which it will, then Warrick Brown will be dead and gone.
