It's night, Sara tries to sleep but it is in vain, sleep doesn't come. She has already taken her pills, but only got a persistent and dull headache.
In the bed she rolls and rolls, she stands up and goes to the window, it has started raining. She looks at the glass and she doesn't know if the drop on the glass is rain or tear, she is crying. Damn! When she does stop will it seem a waterfall?
Crying is not the solution, nor will it make Grissom change his mind and much less it'll not stop her headache.
She's tired, very tired. Crying, thinking of him, listening in her mind, her voice repeating over and over, "He's not my husband anymore", she needs to stop with this or she'll go crazy. She must clutch at happy moments, not in these distressing moments.
They also had good moments. Good times to remember, they switched on a kind of movie in her head.
She remembers when she arrived in Las Vegas, young, full of dreams and hopes, waiting for the big love of her life; she remembers how they fell in love, the angst of Nick's experience and were together for the first time. And after many doubts, they decided to live together, without anyone knowing…When she shaves his beard…The time he told her that she makes him happy… The different way he proposed to her, between bees and in a middle of a case. The reconciliation for them in Costa Rica was unexpected and magical, there they had passionate nights and unforgettable days.
Even far away, he always was there for her .Yeah! He was the right man for her, the perfect lover, the perfect husband, she doesn't want to find anybody else.
Dancing in Paris, she looks at the wedding ring on her finger. He was so gentle, so careful, so sweet, she remembered him whispering "honey" in her ear, kissing her neck and making her feel a tingle in her spine.
Oh, so many good memories… They can light up the bedroom. They will be her lighthouse, in the long lonely nights and days that will come. And she waits, confident he'll come back and they'll be together again, because a love like they have doesn't end, it lives forever and ever
THE END
