- The Last Command -
He was alone.
Not exactly alone but he was the only tamer and the only human present in the Barrymore House. No Zob. No Greta. No Timothy. No Elena. No tutors. No keepers. No other tamers. It was just him; he and the monsters.
'At last!' he thought. He had successfully called all of his monsters. Looking from left to right, he could see Bombo, Snyakutz Bu, Clak Ritak, Ben Talak, Paruto Porro, Lali Bergingigonz, and the Bursties.
"Zick call we?" Bombo asked.
"Yes, I wanted to ask you all for something."
"Hurry up! I got five more books to read for this day," Ben Talak yelled.
"And I'm learning how to play Schubert with the piano," Clak Ritak said.
Zick looked at the monsters slowly, from right to left. The Bursties were singing nonstop. Lali Bergingigonz was playing with her glasses. Paruto Porro smelled his shirt. Ben Talak pretended to be sleepy. Clak Ritak was playing with his eyes. Snyakutz Bu picked his arm. Bombo was looking at Zick so seriously.
"Thank you," Zick told the monsters.
The monsters looked at him in confusion.
"…for being a part of my life." Zick added.
The monsters didn't respond.
"You all, obey my command," Zick said.
The monsters looked at him.
"I order you all… to kill me."
"What?" Paruto Porro said.
"We can't do zhat!" Snyakutz cried.
"Bombo no do it!" Bombo yelled.
"You should. I used the tone, didn't I?" Zick answered.
"No, we didn't hear it!" Clak Ritak shouted.
The Bursties were singing in fright.
"You can't resist the voice of the tamer... so obey my last command!"

Bombo thought, 'If only me no have ears.'
