A/N: So as some of you know, I'm re-watching Buffy from mid-Season Three all the way through the rest of the series. Don't ask about my starting point because I don't know why I chose to start there instead of the beginning. Anyway, today I watched Hell's Bells and I wanted to write some Spike (William)/Halfrek (Cecily) fluff because that is my other Spike ship other than Spuffy. And Spanya, of course, because I love them! :-D
Spike's Date
"So what are you really going by now?"
Halfrek rolled her eyes before turning around. "Most people call me Hallie. Some people call me Halfrek. Honestly, you can call me whatever you want."
"Fine. Cecily, then, because it's functional and less confusing for me."
"Um, yeah. So you tracked me down and cornered me in a dark ally to ask me what my name is. No offense, honey, but it's a little creepy."
"Well, yeah. Hello, vampire. Evil, you know. But I have this sodding chip and I can't kill the Slayer and her stupid Scooby pals." Spike paused, shaking his head. "But, no, you're right. I actually did have something else I wanted to ask you. Well, more than one other question, but I can always ask you that later."
"Go ahead. All the time in the world to talk to old friends," Halfrek mumbled, rolling her eyes.
"Do you want to go to Xander and Anya's wedding with me? As my date?"
"Why?"
Spike sighed. "Because I need to make the Slayer jealous and the easiest way to do that is to show up with one of Anya's friends. I don't know any of her other demon pals. Besides, you're the obvious choice, seeing as I used to be in love with you and all."
"Used to be in love with me?"
"I'm over you now, sweetheart. Moved on and all that. Been with three different girls now."
"Hmm."
"Hmm what?" "One hundred and thirty years and you've only been with three other girls. It's cute, William."
"Right, yeah, I'm adorable like that. You haven't answered the question yet, pet."
"I'll have to think about it. I mean, it would be kind of awkward to show up with you. Anya doesn't know that I know you but D'Hoffren does. Heck, you're the reason I became a vengeance demon. But other than that, I think it would be nice, kind of. Just to hang out; maybe do some reminiscing."
"Wait. I was the reason you became a vengeance demon?"
"Of course. After you left with that Lusilla or whatever her name was, I was completely torn up inside. I did a spell on you. It would've been a great one - turned all your hair, all over you body, a bright, vibrant purple and made your skin orange. Unfortunately, it didn't work because you're a vampire. Anyway, it caught D'Hoffren's attention even though it didn't work. The rest is, as they say, history."
"Oh, I feel right special now."
"You should. You were the reason one of the world's most powerful vengeance demons became what she is today. Congratulations."
"Getting back to the point, will you or will you not go to the wedding with me?"
Halfrek considered it for a moment before replying, "I can't show up with you. That would be way too weird, especially since Dawn is going to be there. You know, how embarrassing would that be! But I'll come back to your crypt and we can hang out and talk afterwards," she offered. "Sorry. It would just be way too awkward if we were just randomly together. The rest of them don't know what's going on."
"Yeah. Yeah, s'pose you're right. So… after the ceremony, we can go back to my crypt? 'Cuz there are a few things I need to set the record straight on."
"Of course."
"See you then."
