"I already told you. I like you. Nothing is going to change my mind about that."
He watched, heart wrenching as she but her lip and seemed to contemplate.
"I'm sorry Shikamaru, but I just can't live with the guilt."
Shikamaru rolled his eyes. "How many times must I tell you that this does not have anything to do with Ino? This is about you and me. Not her, okay?"
Temari smiled, then looked away, the smile melting away.
"I'm sorry... I just... Can't..."
She turned and ran away from him and he did not know how to feel. His crush just rejected him, no, RAN AWAY from him.
"I'll wait for you!" He called, while Temari ran on, a slight blush adorning her face. "One way or another, I'm gonna get ya!"
She started to laugh. "Isn't that a song?"
Shikamaru smiled and was about to continue talking when she realised that she was trying to get away from him, and turned to run again.
Shikamaru made himself a promise. He would stop at nothing to get his girl. She had to learn that she had nothing to feel bad about, that she was the only girl that he likes.
The sad thing was, he wasn't sure if he would be able to convince her. He had no idea that Ino had had a crush on him in the past, when he also had a crush on her. Although Shikamaru stopped liking Ino when he became close to Temari. However, Ino's crush didn't end and Temari felt that she was destroying the chance that Shikamaru and Ino had.
It would be troublesome, but he knew that if he could win Temari over, it was worth it.
