This is my second challenge for Neonclan, this one is miss perfect.

The one who always knows the right answer, the one who always uses the right moves, the one that everyone adores; that's her.

And who am I? That cat that no one ever praises or notices, the one just lingering in the shadows.

Ugh, it's always unfair, why do the cats prefer her to me? What did she ever do that was so special?

Now, don't get me wrong, the two of use are the best friends, me and my sister, I just wish I could be popular like her? I'm in the shadows, just like my name, Darkshade.

However, my sister Petaldawn is always loved, she has a loving mate and kits and even best friends, her best friends are Yellowfeather and Splashfern.

However, no tom is interested in me except Flamewhisker, and do I like him back? No I don't, I see him more as a brother.

By the way, did I tell you that Petaldawn is going to be the next leader? That she is deputy?

Even my mother played favorites, she called me Darkshade and I don't even have a dark pelt, she thought I would turn out evil, I actually have a plain old silver pelt with light amber eyes, Petaldawn is a beautiful cream she-cat with golden leopard spots.

Luck thing was my father also played favorites, only to a different sibling, mother and father broke up soon, he was angry when mom refused to call me her daughter.

Soon that leader died and my Father Barkwing, later Barkstar became, he made me his apprentice, he gave me the suffix shade for my shady personality but Petaldawn got her name for the way she hunted at dawn.

Soon Barkstar died, mom became leader, Ripplestar. She made Petaldawn deputy despite the fact she didn't have an apprentice, she soon changed that.

I have an apprentice, it's apparently 'weak and sick' Tinypaw, but I like him, he's a good hunter.

Oh no! Petaldawn is coming over to me! What will she say?

Wait, she's being nice, well, why do I worry about her being mean? She told me that when she becomes leader I will be deputy.

at least I have my friends to support me, Flamewhisker, Tinypaw and Morningwing are like the siblings I never had.
