Disclaimer: I do not own Daisuke, Satoshi, or anything even pertaining to them. I don't even own mistletoe. T.T

"OW!"

Groaning, I sat up, rubbing my head and wondering how I could be so clumsy to fall down an entire flight of stairs. As I was climbing back onto my feet, a small chuckle claimed my attention and nearly sent me tumbling back to the floor.

"Again, Niwa?" smirked Satoshi, leaning against the wall. "It's not my fault!" I whined, finally regaining my footing. However, my knees went weak again just looking into his eyes and I had to strain to hear his next sentence.

"Right, a magical gust of wind blew so hard, it knocked you down the stairs."

My face grew red. "Well, it could have!" His deadpan face made me blush harder. "It could," I mumbled, shuffling my feet. He sighed and began walking from the room, "We have decorating to do." "Oh! Yeah," I exclaimed before jumping after him to finish up the Christmas decorations in the Living Room.

In just a matter of hours, we had transformed the room into a Winter Wonderland, complete with fake snow and an electric train running around the coffee table. All that we had left was to place the ornaments on the top of the tree. We could only find one stepladder so it was up to Satoshi to set them on the tree (his decision, not mine). My only job was to transfer the precious ornaments from the box and wrapping they were kept in into Satoshi's hands.

The only problem was, my mind seemed to be rebellious today and refused to stay on the task at hand. With every ornament I handed over, the more I began to notice how soft Satoshi's hands were, or how graceful he seemed as he found the perfect spot for it. At one point, I couldn't keep my eyes off of his lips and the owner of said lips caught me in the act. I'm not sure how long I had zoned out but from the look on his face, it was enough to worry him.

"Are you feeling okay, Niwa?" he asked, looking closely at my eyes. I blinked several times before replying, "Uh, yes." "Maybe you should sit down; I think you hit the floor harder than previously thought."

And before I could even stammer a protest, he had grabbed my arm and dragged me to sit on the couch. "Satoshi, I'm fine!" I insisted, swatting his hands away. "I don't think you are," he murmured, slipping onto the couch next to me, still looking into my eyes. I could feel my blush beginning to surface again and immediately looked at my lap.

"Niwa?"

"Hm?"

"Look up."

I followed his command and gazed up in horror to see mistletoe directly above us. I looked down and began to stutter a reply but I was immediately cut off by Satoshi's lips pressing against mine.

My face heated up more as my eyes widened and I couldn't move until he pulled away. "Tradition," he said with a smirk. I simply stared at him in shock.

"If you are feeling alright, Niwa, I think we should continue." I only nodded mutely and followed him back to the tree. We worked in silence for nearly a half hour when I finally plucked up enough courage.

"Satoshi?"

"Yes, Niwa?"

"Can you come down for a minute?"

He complied with my request and gazed directly into my eyes. I drew a deep breath and, before I could blush again, responded to his kiss. Several seconds later, he pulled away with a lazy grin. I smiled softly and whispered, "Happy Holidays."

A/N: This was made as a birthday present for my friend, Amé. She turned 18 last Friday. XD So as always, I wrote her a fic (actually a series of fics that I'll be throwing on here soon) as a gift. Anyways, leave a review to tell me what you thought of it. Just please don't make it something like "Yo, this sucked!" and don't even tell me why. Have a good day =)
