Sighing, the poison dragon slayer took a small sip of his whiskey, revelling in how the liquid burnt his throat yet was so smooth. In all honesty, this guild drove him mad, these guys were fucking psycho. The only reason he's at Fairy Tail is because his blue-haired leader is infatuated with Titania.

Though he couldn't blame him, she was gorgeous, as are most of the women at Fairy Tail, she was strong and admirable, but Cobra just didn't see the appeal. I mean, she was crazy. Her thoughts were constantly buzzing around because of how much sugar she consumes and not to mention how many methods of torture she was planning for Gray and Natsu. Damn, he actually felt bad for the fuckers.

The bar wasn't his favourite place to be, simply because of Mira. Seriously, he was shocked to find out that the smiling barmaid had literal demons bickering inside her head. It was actually quite terrifying, to be honest, and Cobra did not get scared easily. Mira's thoughts gave him a pounding headache, so he tended to avoid at all times, although he could still hear the monsters in her head from wherever he was sat. Even outside.

Sometimes, he got a little jealous of the couples in this guild, because despite being a heartless bastard, he wanted that someday. But he would never strive for it as he knew nobody was deserving of him. He had sinned way too much for any lady to like him. So, he didn't try. But a little spot in his mind was always secretly hoping for a beautiful woman to come out of nowhere and bring him out of his misery.

"Hey." A soft voice startled him and broke him from his thoughts, his head snapped up only to find a blonde celestial mage sitting down on the chair opposite him.

"Yo." He had no fucking clue what to say honestly, Lucy was so stunning that he was at a loss for words. But he wouldn't get a chance with her.

"What ya doing all the way over here on your own?" She frowned at him.

He replied with a simple, "Meh. Everyone's thoughts are annoying me." Lucy looked confused for a second but then it clicked and she smiled at him.

"Oh yeah! I can't imagine how annoying that's gotta be." Cobra only just realised that he couldn't gain any access to her pretty little head.

"Yeah, sums it up perfectly. Uh, hey, why can't I get into your mind?" She just beamed at him.

"Because, I put on a mind barrier spell every time Crime Sorciere visits. I'm surprised you haven't noticed yet," she giggled, "guess you aren't as smart as I thought you were."

"Hey!"

"Jokes." Suddenly , her face lit up and she looked him straight in the eye.

"Is there any gossip in anyone's head that I need to know about." Her brown eyes twinkled with mischief and he chuckled to himself.

"Natsu has a crush on Gray." A sputtering sound was heard from across the room along with booming laughter. Lucy began to laugh herself, it was so unexpected. She thought the were rivals.

"That's awesome news. I was beginning to think he didn't know what liking someone even means."

"HEY! I can still hear you guys and Cobra STOP SHARING MY PERSONAL THOUGHTS!" The voice of Natsu reached her eyes and she doubled over in laughter again.

Cobra watched in awe with his one eye. Wow. Just wow. It was honestly beautiful. That laugh. It was like he had been brought to heaven. For a second, he suspected she was charming him with some sort of spell, but the thought was dismissed when he remembered all the stories he'd been told about her being forgiving and kind. Even Laxus and Gajeel were fond of her in a brotherly way.

Speaking of Gajeel, he had just walked onto the stage in his white suit, guitar in hand. He groaned and Lucy followed suit when she saw him.

"I swear to god, I might actually jump out the window if I hear his voice." Cobra snorted at her comment, fairly amused by her humour.

The dreadful singing began and everyone covered their eyes, trying to shield themselves from the horror that was Gajeel's voice. Well, except Levy. Damn, that girl was going crazy cheering him on. Natsu was in the corner wheezing with laughter at the man on the stage, and Mira was just humming along.

His eye moved to the blonde opposite him, she was pondering something it seemed like. It frustrated him that he couldn't see what it is. Then she got up. He moved to question her but she answered him without him even needing to ask.

"I'm going to give everyone a real show," she winked, and then proceeded to walk onto the stage.

To say he was excited was an understatement. He was damn near ecstatic to hear her voice.

Lucy shoved Gajeel lightly, "Oi! Bunny girl, I ain't finished!"

"You are now. It's my turn now." She snickered at him, and he just walked off, defeated.

The blonde sat on the stool and coughed into the microphone to test it. Everyone was staring at her and she was beginning to feel very nervous.

"Uh, hey guys. I thought since the guy I like is here today, I might as well sing him a little song. This one's for you, Erik." She whispered his name very quietly so only he and the other dragon slayers could hear it. A few spluttering noises from the crowd later, she started singing. And boy, it was beautiful.

Their eyes met and his heart beat a tiny bit faster than it had before. What the fuck?

Lucy's voice was melodious, it gave him life. It was like the refreshing taste of cherry cola on a summers day. God, why was everything she did s perfect? He couldn't think of one flaw that the celestial mage had and it was bugging him because this was the woman who had just confessed to him on stage.

The thought blew his mind, he just didn't understand. It didn't make any sense, why would she want to he infatuated with him of all people? The man that kidnapped her twice. Twice!

He couldn't deny that he felt something. It wasn't love, but it was a start and maybe, just maybe, this could be the fresh new beginning he needed. Maybe all her light and purity could cancel out his darkness. Maybe he would give it a chance.

Lucy stopped singing and fear struck her heart as she looked at Cobra. She thought he might reject her so maybe she could make a quick escape? With that in mind, she was grabbed by the waist before she could leave the guild and wrapped in the tanned arms of the dragon slayer that she had been pining after for months.

Her mouth opened in shock, but not for long. Her plump pink lips were enclosed by a pair of slightly chapped ones and boy did it feel good. Their mouths moved against each other and she tasted sweet like strawberries and he was relishing it. Then, he pulled away and simply told her,

"Please. Give me a chance and I'll give you one."
