Insest Narcissa & Sirius

Insest (cousin) *2015* New Years Millionaire Fanfiction Resolutions & Goals Competition

Greek prompt: 24. Atlas- write about Sirius Black

In the end nothing, really, changes. Feelings stay the same. They might dim if you don't see your love for years on end, but it's always there. Sure, you might find love in someone, or something, else. They might be felons, but the fact remains. You loved them at one point. You can't deny it.

You loved them. Even if it was wrong. Even if the world was telling you it was a risky move. Your heart belonged to them. It was in their hands, and they could break or protect it.

You don't care that your parents were second cousins and their relationship was cutting it close. You don't care that she's a Malfoy now and you're disowned. It doesn't matter. You love her. You would be happy with her for the rest of your life.

But life happens. People move on, forget. Faces fade. Emotions don't. Eventually, while locked in azkaban, you feel hopeless. You fear you'll never see her again.

She's the only thing that keeps you moving. Keeps you sane. Not your God Child or the revenge that brews in the back of your mind. Her. She's the one that's the light at the end of the hall. The one who you want to see again. Once. Before you die.

Sirius wasn't sure about his feelings. He knew he didn't believe in what his family did, that purebloods had to marry purebloods. He was sure, however, that he had ... Feelings for Narcissa. She wasn't free anymore, she was married.

He knew he shouldn't have feelings for her. Not because the Muggle world said loving a family member in a romantic way was wrong, but because it would go against what he believed.

He wanted her, no one else. Would he be happy with being friends? Sure. He would, if it meant being close to her and being more than a cousin, being her best friend. If he could accomplish that... Well, it would make this torture easier to bare.

The only thing stopping him, really, was the fact that she didn't, and never would, return his feelings. She made it agonizingly clear.
