Guilty crown: Awakening the King and Queen
The birth of a king
It was a long cold night and a pair of young professors were wondering around their lab when they came across a young blonde-haired boy wearing a pure white lab coat.
"Good evening gentlemen, my name is Yuu I'm here on behalf of Da'ath." Said the boy.
"Da'ath?" Asked both the professors.
"We're a top-secret organisation that have been researching the Creation stone and the virus contained within it." He then turned his attention to the man known as Kurosu Ouma, as he seemed troubled since his daughter Mana had discovered the stone in the first place and has been acting strange ever since.
"Something the matter Kurosu?" Yuu questioned.
"Nothing." Kurosu answered.
"As I understand it your daughter Mana was the one to find the stone, and was therefore the first to be infected." Yuu summarised.
"What of if?" Shuichiro probed.
"Since she was the first to be infected, she has been chosen to lead the world to a new beginning. She is to be our Eve, and I am well aware that your wife is showing symptoms of the virus."
"Yes." Kurosu responded.
"This is a problem, since she is also pregnant and is slowly feeding the virus into the child. Though instead of killing him, it seems to be transforming him to fit his roll as Adam, Mana's chosen mate. So, it is imperative that you ensure his survival." After that he was gone, leaving Kurosu and Shuichiro alone with their thoughts.
"So, what do we do now?" Shuichiro quizzed. But Kurosu didn't answer him, he was to lost in thought. He never once thought both his children would bring about the apocalypse.
The next day while working late in the lab Kurosu received an urgent phone call from the hospital.
"SAY WHAT!" Kurosu yelled. He then jumped off his chair and made a break for the door.
"What's wrong Kurosu?"
"My wife is about to have the baby." Kurosu claimed. He then ran out the door, and headed straight to the hospital. Leaving Shuichiro to his studies, though he soon found himself with company.
"Well, well it appears our future king is arriving a lot sooner than we thought." Yuu stated, startling Shuichiro.
"Oh, did I startle you?" Yuu asked.
"What do you want Yuu?"
"Your friend Kurosu has refused to work with me, since he has been secretly searching for a cure to the virus which does not sit well with Da'ath. I'd like to know where you stand Shuichiro?" Yuu asked smugly.
"I'm with you, but I should tell you that Kurosu was never my friend." Shuichiro claimed. This revelation made Yuu smile a most wicked smile, he then jumped off the chair he was standing on and began searching through Kurosu's notes, and was surprised by what he had discovered. He discovered that Kurosu was close to cultivating something called the Void Genome.
That night at the hospital
It was around 11:30pm and silence roamed all throughout the hospital, say for the sound of a middle-aged man sobbing, his tears were what may be considered a mixture of joy and sorrow. Because he was holding his new born son in his arms, but at the same time he had lost his wife.
"It's okay daddy, you still have me and now you have Shu too." Mana stated. Mana's words seemed to lift Kurosu's spirits, and they did put a heart-warming smile on his face. But it didn't last very long, as he saw a certain blonde-haired child lurking in the hallway. He then placed baby Shu in Mana's arms and went to confront him.
"What do you want?" Kurosu asked aggressively.
"I came here to see the new born king." Yuu said rather sarcastically.
"You stay away from my children." Kurosu demanded.
"Come, come Kurosu, I do not wish to harm him I simply wish to protect him from himself. Since he is to young to properly control his powers, and if he were to say throw a temper-tantrum he could end up destroying both Mana and himself." Yuu explained. He then waltzed right past Kurosu and entered the hospital ward, and took a good long look at the future king and queen.
"How cute." Yuu thought to himself, then he kissed the sleeping children on the head (much to Kurosu's annoyance). Though it was this very action that caused the young king to stir and awaken, and he was about to start crying. So, in a panic, Yuu lifted the child from his sister's arms and sang him a sweet lullaby, and then he went back to sleep.
"Don't worry little one, you and your sister are in safe hands, I know that for a fact. I also know that the two of you are going to lead the new human race." Yuu declared. With that he returned Shu to his sister's arms then vanished without a trace.
