"Daddy, who was the lady you were sitting with?" Parker asked from the backseat.

"That was Dr. Brennan, she works with Daddy," Booth explained.

"She was pretty." Parker commented, still toying with his robot.

Bones was more than pretty, but Parker was only four. "Yeah, Bones is one of a kind."

Parker frowned, momentarily looking up from his new toy. "I though' her name was Dr. Brennan." Parker said.

"Well, Daddy calls her Bones."

" Dr. Bones," Parker giggled, having put the two names together.

"I guess that works," Booth smiled at Parker in the mirror.

There was a moment of silence, then Parker said, "Is she your girlfriend?"

"No, bub, she's not." Booth said, wondering where he got that idea from.

"Oh," Parker was quiet for another second, then, "why not?"

Booth chuckled, wondering if there was a chance that Parker had ever met Angela. "Bones and I are just friends."

Parker sighed. "Don't lie to me, Daddy."

Booth was surprised, when had his little boy become so insightful? "We're just friends," he repeated.

"You should kiss her." Parker suggested.

"Why would I kiss her?"

"Because you want to, and you were giving her this goofy smile that Mommy gives her boyfriends." Parker explained.

"Bones and I are just friends, bub," Booth repeated for the first time.

"Okay," Parker sighed, "but I still think you should kiss her."

I just saw The Man In The Fallout Shelter, and I was thinking about Parker's first impression of Brennan, and, well, here it is. I don't own Bones. Hope y'all like it enough to review.
