Silence dead silence no talking no arguing no "He's not real Jack!" ; no "yes he is" come back in a jolly yet annoyed manly voice just silence. Danny hated it. The quiet, It was foreign to him for this time off year. It was supposed to be more lively; for the last 14 years of young Danny FEnton's life every christmas had his parents fighting on the most unusual of things. The existence of Santa Claus… The jolly red suited elf that gave gifts to the good boys and girls of the world was the cause of Jack and Maddie fighting every year. Danny hated it the arguing of facts that stated the impossible of Santa, the counters, the decorations and sometimes getting caught in the crossfire. He hated it! or at least he used to "Their gone" Danny sighed with a slight slob. Clutching the picture of his dead family and friends Jack, Maddie, Jazz, Tucker and Sam. All Danny did was stare at the photo centering his gaze on his mother and father. Both of them and their annual fight on Christmas where gone leaving Danny in an unbearable silence.

Bonus
Vlad wanted to cheer the boy up, and what he was about to do was silly and stupid, to think that Jack believed in Father Christmas at his least dear Maddie was more sensible. Still he wanted to cheer dear Daniel and if it meant trying to recreate a fight to prove or disprove of Santa he'd do it.
"There is no way any one can visit every single person on the planet in one night" Danny began
"Not everyone celebrates Christmas dear boy, Not visiting anyone who is Jewish,Muslim,Buddhist or Hindu it makes the number of homes he visits smaller" Vlad countered.
"There is no such thing as flying reindeer"!
"There are 300,000 species of organisms yet to be indentifed so this does completely rule out the existence of flying Reindeer that so far Santa has ever seen".

I'm not that good at angst, but this plot bunny bit me hard so I had to give it a shot. I figure Danny spent at least one Christmas with Vlad before Dan creation.
