It was tea night. Simon, Jace and Isabelle were sitting around the fireplace sipping from their mugs quietly. Jace was happily sharpening his blades, Isabelle was wiping the handle of her whip and Simon.

Well Simon read a book.

About peace loving monks from Ancient Asia, emphasis on peace loving.

Clary was spending some 'quality time' with her mother, at the mall.

Out of the blue, Jace looked up from his not so peace loving activity. "It's been about a year right?"

"Year since what?"

"Well my dear blood-sucking friend, I am referring to the length of my romantic and thrilling relationship with your dear friend."

"Who, Clary?" "No, I was referring to Luke." "Huh?"

"Of course I mean Clary. Has all that blood turned you stupid?"

"Shut up. And yeah it's been nearly a year. So what?" "Well, I would like to ask you something."

Simon sat up and adjusted his glasses. "About Clary? Oh yes, this blood-sucking relationship advisor shall do his best to advise the ridiculously good-looking lady killer."

"No need to flatter him. His head is already thrice the size it should be," sighed Isabelle. Jace chuckled, "Rest assured dearest Isabelle. No matter the size of my glorious head you will still have the pleasure of gazing upon my wonderful face and flawless physique."

Simon stifled a laugh. "Hurry up and ask me your question."

"Well, as you know I do not know very much of your mundane cultures. Is it customary for a couple to commemorate a year as a couple together?"

For a moment the library was quiet.

"You mean your first year anniversary? Yes you are obliged to do something for her I guess. I mean, most people in high school did it."

"So, what am I supposed to do?"

Grinning madly at the prospect of telling Jace what to do, Simon chuckled softly.

"Oh get on with it you geek."

"Well, what I would do is ask her out. Then bring flowers, take her to her favorite café maybe. You know, sweet and romantic stuff."

"Romantic stuff… Hmm…"
