"Darkness fights Light, Light fights Darkness. An eternal struggle that yields nothing but casualties."
I didn't know my name, I didn't know who I was, or if I even was anything. All I knew was that I was alive. I was falling through what I think was air, and after a few moments I opened my eyes. Falling through the sky, all I could think was "I've got to land on my feet." I don't know why I thought that, or even why it sounded sensible at that time, but I did it anyways.
Right before I hit the ground, I saw a flash of black and yellow, and I was pinned down by a giant key.
"Who are you!" He growled at me angrily.
"I… Don't know." He sounded like a teenager more than an adult, but he seemed so strong he could take down a thousand nobodies.
Nobodies… Why did I say that? I couldn't figure it out, so I focused on what I could do: Fight back! As I thought about how to get him off me, two katanas materialized and floated in the air beside me. Seeing this, the teen jumped off me and said "Oh, now I see. You're a newcomer. Follow me."
I was reluctant to follow, but I did anyways, the katanas going into sheaths that had suddenly appeared on my back. On the way there, I examined my surroundings. The boy was a blond with spiky hair, wearing a black cloak. He seemed to have a strange weapon in his hand, and I instinctively thought keyblade. It was blunt but very effective as he proved to me on the way to the castle I saw in the night sky.
When we got to the castle, we were greeted by someone named Axel, who had red hair and a triangle under each eye.
"Hey, Roxas." He said casually. "Oh, a newcomer! Finally, I have someone to talk to! What's your name?"
"I don't really know."
"Well, then, let's go find out!"
After reaching the boss, who's name is Xemnas, Roxas and Axel told him to find my name. He put a hand out and three gold letters appeared in front of me, spelling out Eon. "Eon!" Xemnas yelled. "He turned heartless?! I can't believe it. He was one of the strongest fighters there was!"
"Either way, if I'm Eon, who're you talking about?"
"No, you aren't Eon" They said. " You're his nobody. Your name is now Exon." After a brief discussion they brought me outside, Xemnas yelled "Test… BEGIN!" , and there was a flash of bright light.
When I could see again, I was trapped in a white ring of energy and there were lots of the heartless we had talked about surrounding me. I was slashed a few times before I remembered "The katanas!" and they appeared in my hand. I slashed so many heartless I lost count, but after an hour or so, a giant monster appeared before.
"That's Darkside. Defeat him and the test is over." Axel said from outside the barrier. After countless tries of destroying him from the body and many hits and bruises, I got so angry that I almost turned red. I heard the people laughing on sidelines, and I completely blew it. All of a sudden, my katana's turned black. Then, countless black shuriken began rotating around me. I ran at Darkside so fast that I turned into a black blur flowing around his body. Two seconds later, he split into countless pieces and my weapons disappeared. "Good enough for you?" I muttered sarcastically as I passed by Xemnas and went back into the castle.
