Summary: Post finale. Few memories stay with the Sawyer and Juliet. Images and voices, begging them to find the missing pieces and crack the code. Begging them to remember. Begging them to find the other.

Chapter One

My eyes shot open, starring up at the white ceiling. I felt myself shaking. I felt like I couldn't move.

I lay listening to the rain hit against the roof and watched the drops run down the window. A roar of thunder sounded, followed by a flash of lightening that for an instant turned the whole sky white.

And when it was over, I half expected, and almost wanted, to find myself in another place. Another time.

But nothing happened. I was still in my bed, the world around me becoming blurry as my eyes filled with tears.

But the pictures in my mind were clear as could be. I tried to understand what I was seeing, but I couldn't. I couldn't even tell myself that I was going crazy. I could just watch. I just listen.

A plane. A monitor. A mother. A son.

A shark tank. A doctor. A surgery. An escape.

A boat. An explosion. A drink. A man.

An ocean. A dock. A plead. An alright.

A car. A baby. A flower. A kiss.

A sub. A look. A chain. A hand.

A fall. A cry. A bomb. A light.

Nothing.

My breathes came out shakily and the tears fell freely.

"A little over two years ago, to everyone's surprise, Rachel's cancer went into complete remission. Shortly after she gave birth to a healthy baby boy. His name is Julian."

"Well what about me? Come on; just give me two weeks, that's all I'm asking."

"You were amazing today."

"I don't care who I looked at. I'm with you."

"Where do you think you're going, Blondie?"

"Don't you let go!"

"Don't you leave me!"

"No! You don't let go!"

"No! Juliet!"

I began to hyperventilate. The tears soaked my pillow and the images pierced my heart.

Were they dreams or memories?

My room suddenly felt unfamiliar and wrong.

Empty.

I clutched the light blue blanket and pulled it tight around me. I tried to calm myself. The pictures and voices swirled around me, begging me not to lose them. Begging me to untangle them and find the missing pieces. They tried to get me to finish the puzzle, to crack the code.

But it was useless. I tried to follow them, only to come up blank. Part of me said that I was going crazy. The other put knew that I should understand.

I felt myself drifting, the voices becoming distant and the scenes became fuzzy and then slowly disappeared.

But right before I gave into sleep, the voice asked me one more question.

"You still got my back?"

And even though I knew that I was completely alone and it was all in my head, I had the need to answer him.

"Absolutely."

So what do you guys think? Good start? Bad start? Should I keep going? Please review and let me know!
