What do you mean I'm not normal?????
Cassie hunted her swaying skirts blowing backwards as her speed ripped hem back. She grinned as a lion streaked in front of her path. She fell on it with a growl. Her brother hunted behind her a proud smile on his face. They both had the same curling blue black her and flashing green eyes, from their shared father.
After she had finished her brother snuck up behind her pushing her over. She snarled and attacked. After a few hours he stopped and looked me over.
"listen… I think it's time we moved on."
"moved on?"
"the animal population is getting low here let's go take car of it somewhere else."
"what if a don't want to?" I no my face sounded a little whiny. The tall swaying grass had been my home from the dim memories of my first few years. Sure I had sprung up through my child years but my brother had brought me here when I was only a few days old.
"it's for the best. You need to learn to grow up and be around normal creatures. Humans and vampires."
"I'm not normal?" this stung. I hated what I was. My brother had told me of my mother many times, her beauty and grace. My father had taken care of that.
"no." he read my pain. "you are so special. One of the most special people I know. And you are beautiful and smart. It's just we are drawing attention. I just think it's time we left. I know a guy in America. We could go to school there and learn. Best of all our father thinks it stinks there so he wouldn't ever travel there." I walked into my brothers embrace. His skin was a few shades darker than mine but not much. His mother had darker skin. Mine was albino pale.
"fine." I stepped out of his embrace then we will go." I smoothed my skirts and walked away into the gathering night. I disappeared into the night without a whisper.
