For a while now I've wondered what it was like to wear men's clothes. Yeah, I love dresses, but men's clothes seem so much more comfortable for some of the things I do. I mean come on; riding a horse in a dress is not the most comfortable of things.

I knew if I told any of the girls about this they'd laugh at me, so I kept it to myself.

It was a quiet day. No guns had been fired yet and Doc and Wyatt were in the saloon. I was actually quite bored so I figured, hey, why don't I "borrow" some of Doc's clothes?

I went to his room and took a pair of pants, a white shirt, a red and silver vest, and suspenders. The pants looked a little big so I also took a belt. I put on all the clothes and I put my boots on over the pant legs. The shirt looked a little big but the vest hid most of it, and otherwise I looked pretty good. I took one of his hats and looked at myself in the mirror. It looked a little odd with my long hair, so I tied it back in a hair tie. I then laughed, I looked just like a young boy.

I went out to my horse and petted her, letting her know it was me. Once she calmed down, I got onto her, one leg on each side. I made myself comfortable and rode of toward the forest.

I rode for what seemed like forever and when I finally stopped I could hear a faint voice somewhere behind me. Once the voice got closer I heard the man yell, "Where's Amaryllis and why the hell did you steal my clothes!?" The man, being Doc, rode up to me and aimed his gun at me, "Where's Amaryllis?"

"My goodness Doc, I had no idea you cared so much." I grinned.

"Where is she?" He put his gun closer to my head.

I took the hat off and untied my hair, "Will you put that down, I'm right here."

Doc looked like he'd just been horribly beat at poker, "What?"

I laughed, "I was bored, and I wanted to see what it was like to wear men's clothes. They're quite comfortable."

Doc sighed and put his gun away, "You really did worry me there darlin'."

"I'm sorry, I thought you'd be in the saloon longer. I'm flattered you care so much though." I put the hat back on.

"Course I was dear, you're my girl, and I thought some boy had taken you from me." He smiled a real, meaningful smile.

I blushed, "Wow, I rarely see you give anyone a real smile, and not just a grin."

Doc laughed, "I'm just glad you're okay."

"Well thank you for caring so much. How about we head back before Wyatt panics. He probably saw you leave in a hurry and is probably confused." My horse started walking slowly.

He nodded, "Alright darlin'. And then how about you change and we get some drinks?"

I agreed, "Sounds fine with me, but I'm not changing back."

Doc only laughed.
