A lone figure lay in a clearing, covered by a blanket. Beside it rested a sack, filled with food. Five hooded horsemen rode into the clearing, obviously in a hurry. The horse in the lead reared and stopped a foot from the still form. Its rider quickly dismounted and crouched down, lifting the blanket off of the figure's face. The moonlight fell across a beautiful woman's face, only lighting up the left half of the face. Shouts came to the five riders, making their horses stamp their hoofs nervously. A second rider dismounted and whispered something in the first's ear. Nodding, the first tossed the woman over their right shoulder. It was surprising on how light she weighted.
The second rider picked up the sack, and then went to help the first.
Together, they put the woman, still wrapped in her blanket, over a horse's neck. Making sure that she would not fall off, they mounted up. As one, the five riders silently spurred their steeds into a gallop.
The woman's head bobbed up and down, with the horse's motion. Her left side was exposed. The moon shone down, lighting up a scar that ran from the corner of her left eye, to the side of her mouth.
The scar bled sluggishly.
I know that this doesn't sound like a Robin Hood story, yet. But it will. Don't worry. Please read and review. I need to know hoe to improve. Even if it really sucks, tell me. Thanks!! :)
