Yes, It was only 3 chapter's long but I was already unsatisfied. So here is Chapter 0. I'm going to try and write chapter's in batches, so it may be a while before the next chapter, but after that, the arc should end in a consistent amount of time.
Chapter 0: Happy Birthday!

The Hokage's office, around midnight.
Minato gazed upon his village with a loving look in his eyes. Everything was going right for him. He was the fourth Hokage, he had a loving wife, and his children were soon to be born. That's not to say his life right now was perfect though.
'Extra funds to the northern civilian school? Approved.'
'A-rank mission request to assassinate the honorable wife of the fire Daimyo's cat? Denied.'
'Make all shinobi take sessions to remove all emotion? Denied. Furthermore, send out a probe on this Dimura Shanzo.'
'Make all Bathhouses unisex? Denied, Furthermore, Kushina should be forwarded a copy as punishment to Jiraya.'
'Make fuinjutsu part of the school curriculum? Ap...'
"SENSEI!"
Looking up, Minato saw his favorite surviving student panting heavily, apparently, paperwork was not going to be the only thing that he needed to solve today.

In a cave, on the outskirts of Konoha.
Namikaze Kushina has always been a violent woman, known affectionately and fearfully as the red hot-blooded habanero by many.
Child-birth really did not help.
Lying down, draped in an egg white blanket and screaming bloody murder, Kushina was not just blessed with one child, but three. Grabbing onto the supports of her elevated bed with enough strength to intimidate a Bijuu, the mighty Kunoichi could feel her contractions getting closer, and slowly, but surely, could begin to see that the end of her ordeal was in sight.
"The first ones out almost out Kushina! Keep going!" cried the reluctant midwife, Senju Tsunade. The legendary medic had been roped into delivering the children after having a substantial debt called in by the pregnant patient in question; returning to Konoha for what would probably be her last trip down memory lane.
Quickly clearing her head of nostalgia, she turned her attention to the child that was slowly coming into the world. With help from the legendary medic-nin Sarutobi Biwako, the first child, a boy, had successfully been birthed into the world. He had inquisitive violet eyes that paired well with the few strands of crimson-red hair that adorned his tiny little head. This was not to mention the 3 whisker marks that were present on each of his cheeks.
Tsunade promptly passed the wailing child onto Biwako, and mentally prepared herself from the next one. Repaying this favor required a lot of therapy, and she still wasn't fully over the trauma.
Composing herself, Tsunade quickly got back to work. "Keep pushing! The second is on its way now Kushina!" encouraged the medic.
"Shut the fuck up and let me push in peace!" was the reply that reaffirmed the fact Uzumaki Kushina did not take shit from anybody.
Reminding herself that pregnancy could be a bitch, Tsunade did her best not to feel hurt, luckily, repressing emotions was one of her all-time favorite pass-times! Luckily, this was the only one she's any good at all. She soon had a blonde bundle of seemingly infinite energy in her hands. Seeing that the children were fraternal, Tsunade took a second to look at the newest addition to the Uzumaki-Namikaze family. With blonde hair, cerulean blue eyes and an air of mischief already surrounding her, the young girl would definitely be interesting. The only physical feature the child shared with her older brother was the whisker marks.
Realizing Biwako was back from laying the firstborn to rest, the second born was quickly given to her as well, allowing Tsunade to get back to what she did best.
"The last ones almost with us, keep going!" exclaimed the seasoned medic, seemingly unaffected by the fearsome Kunoichi's outburst after her speedy repression techniques kicked in. She would get drunk later and allow the pain to simmer away in her soul for a while.
Suddenly a yellow flash appeared by Tsunade, realizing who the new presence was, she quickly returned to the delivering of the third and final child, satisfied that there was nothing wrong.
In a quiet voice, Namikaze Minato quickly asked a large favor of the clearly occupied medic. "I was here the entire time?"
"I heard that you good for nothing piece of ShIAAAAGH!" exclaimed the bloodthirsty young woman. Sheepishly, Minato proceeded to walk over to where his two newborn children lay, trusting his mentor's teammate to deliver his beloved third child.
Ignoring his wife's threats, he looked upon the two of his children that were already born, and then to the third, that was now in Tsunade's arms."Menma... Natsuki... Naruto" he spoke softly.
More loudly now, Minato loudly filled in the occupants of the room with the current situation. "Kakashi told me a familiar yet aggressive chakra signature was detected moving towards us, be ready for anything."
"Your last child is out Minato! Whoever that is, deal with them!" screamed the clearly exhausted medic; blood did still take a lot out of her.
Minato rushed outside of the cave, where he saw the intruder in question, a fully cloaked individual who wore a bone-white mask that only allowed a singular Sharingan into view.
He slowly walked towards the exhausted group, quietly laughing to himself as he spoke, "Well, well Yondaime-sama, congratulations on the joyous occasion! Many happy returns from the Uchiha clan." willowed the mysterious intruder. Minato eyed him cautiously and proceeded.
"I appreciate the sentiment, but I must know Uchiha-san, how did you find our location, for what reason are you here, other than to congratulate my wife, and I of course and who are you?" retorted Minato, silently eyeing up his potential foe.
"The Jinchuriki, give her to me."
For a second, all in the room were hushed, until Minato leaped into action, forming a Rasengan in his right hand, the yellow flash drove towards his foe, aiming to end the situation quickly. It was sadly for nothing, as the masked man seemingly vanished.
Rushing back into the cave, he saw Tsunade and Biwako working together to push the masked man back away from his beloved wife, who was currently fading in and out of consciousness. The unknown assailant disappeared again, giving Tsunade some time to speak "Get your arses in gear! Kushina is vulnerable, and that fucker could attack at any moment again!"
"Ah ah ah my child, don't cry. You'll be fine as long as the stupid adults love you enough to listen to uncle's very reasonable demands!" echoed the villain's voice, as the gathered warriors collectively gasped as they realized that the third child, Naruto, had been taken from them.
Suddenly, the masked man came back into existence, his condescending eyes disregarding the adults in the room, as he stared directly into the eyes of Naruto "He has really taken after you Minato; the silly little boy doesn't even have his siblings cute little whiskers!" cackled the Uchiha in a light, joking tone, suddenly his voice dropped an octave and menacingly spoke "Is it not ironic that the only child untainted by the demon will help me unleash it?"
Suddenly a seemingly forgotten voice piped up, "Don't! Just let him have me Minato." came Kushina, who was able to sustain consciousness long enough to start of her mothering lifestyle the right way. "I can't let him touch my son while I still live and breathe, Dattebane." She weakly exclaimed, as she fumbled out of bed and hesitantly walked over to the invader.
"Good choice."
Never before had the yellow flash felt so powerless, as what ensued, was total chaos.

As the seal that kept the mighty Kyuubi at bay was systematically broken down by the man in the mask, Minato used his Hirashin to take his three children to the safest place he could imagine. Home.
"My precious children, stay safe, I'll be back soon."
And with a flash, he was gone.

The great forest.
Arriving at the battlefield to see his beloved wife already downed, and the mighty beast wearing the masked man's Sharingan, the course of action was clear.
Minato flashed over to his wife, gently picking her up bridal style, he ignored a lunge from the masked man and used the Hirashin to reach Tsunade.
"Tsunade-Sama!" he cried, startling the estranged medic. Upon seeing the condition of Kushina, a person she did, in fact, hold dear to herself. She knew what to do.
"I'm on it Minato" She replied firmly, though the amount of blood pouring from various wounds over Kushina's body did give her pause.
Suddenly, two people entered unannounced. "Gaki, what's happening?"
Realizing that the two remaining members of the Sannin had entered the dimly lit room where Tsunade kept her medical supplies, he quickly filled them in on the situation. They each grabbed one of his hands.
It was Orochimaru that spoke up, "Let us help you child, even you could not defeat the beast alone." He said with a slithering steel in his voice. "
"It's too dangerous Orochimaru-Sama!" came the response from Minato, worried that should two of the other greats of Konoha be committed to this battle, the village could be significantly weakened.
Without hesitation, he quickly retorted, "If I die, I shall be remembered as a great. I have no qualms with this young one."
Jiraiya decided that the conversation was taking too long. "Just hurry the fuck up! If we take any longer, the bath house may be destroyed!" he stated with very real fear in his voice.
Getting the point Minato used the Hirashin to return to the spot outside the village, only to see the Kyuubi speeding towards Konoha, leaving destruction in its wake.
"He's almost there already! we need to catch up!"
"Kuchiyose no Jutsu!"
Suddenly, the great snake Aoda appeared beneath the trio, and they were sent hurtling towards the Kyuubi, with the snake's immense speed and agility allowing it to avoid the sporadic fire and multiple fractured tree's that paved the way to the great demon fox.
Upon arrival, the masked man suddenly dashed towards them allowing the Kyuubi to continue its path towards the village.
"Kuchiyose no Jutsu!"
Gamabunta was now in the fray, with Jiraya atop him.
"Minato, Orochimaru and I will try our best to keep the Kyuubi at bay, come up with a plan, and fast Gaki!" was the message
"I plan to."

"What is your name? Why are you doing this?"
Minato was a man with a kind heart, but a burning will. If he could understand what lead to such a devastating assault, he could end it without much bloodshed.
"I am Madara, and I do as I want to."
For the unrepentant, there can be no mercy.
Forming a Rasengan in his right hand, Minato jumped into action, closing the distance between the two combatants in an instance, and is able to quickly thrust his arms into the torso of Madara. Surprise was evident on his face as he simply passed through, this only lasted for a split second, however, as when he passed into the other side, he dispelled the ball of pure energy from his right hand, and swiftly used his left as a platform to perform a spinning kick right into Madara's head, right as he attempted to turn around.
"You truly are the yellow flash." He spoke, seemingly unfazed by the strike. He himself began to attack, with successive attempted jabs to the face, all dodged. Noticing the failed attacks, he fades away again.
Looking around, Minato spot's him again, appearing about twenty feet away, he readies himself again.
"Katon: Goka Mekkyaku"
Suddenly, a sea of flames spewed from where Minato assumed Madara's mouth was, and approached him at rapid speed, thinking fast, Minato leaped backward, creating a sizeable distance, all the while, slowly forming his plans for the Kyuubi.
"Fujin no Jutsu"
Minato called forth a tornado that descended from the sky, with its base acting as a funnel, dissipating the flames aimed directly at him into the atmosphere. Running towards Madara, through the only unscathed path of earth immediately in front of him, which was saved by his Jutsu, in the flash of an eye, Minato sped forwards, closing the distance between them.
"Futon: Kami Oroshi"
A vortex of wind was blasted towards the attacker, who fazed through easily. "You waste your time foolish flash, your village is being destroyed, and yet you are here? Trying to stop me? It would probably be best for your wife if you never take up gambling. Oh. Didn't I kill her?" he stated airily.
Minato was pissed but was also internally cackling. He was a genius.
"Well, this fight is over, so I can go check on that now, can't I?"
"Huh?"
Minato was gone in a flash, and Madara realized that he couldn't move.

In front of the Kyuubi, were 5 people. Though in reality, there were only 3 and two quarters. Minato knew what he had to do, and he had to do it fast.
But it seemed like Minato was now struck with a piece of his metaphorical pie. He couldn't move.
"MphhhMhph?" he said, fearing the absolute worst. However, he was slightly relieved when he heard a familiar voice behind him.
"Minato, my wife is dead, and I am almost double the age that Tobirama-sensei was when he died. I know what you were planning to do. For such a genius, you always were predictable with your self-sacrifice." He said softly, giving at the two crying children on the floor.
Upon realizing what the third was planning to do, he did his best to move, however, the third had used his own immobilization seal against him, and he was stuck for a good 5 more minutes. As were Jiraiya and Orochimaru apparently.
"Goodbye, my children."
Try as they might, the three could do nothing about what was happening before them.
"Fūinjutsu: Shiki Fūjin, Yang!" He exclaimed as he sealed the Yang chakra into his the blonde girl, who's screams filled the burning night sky with her energy and fear.
"Fūinjutsu: Shiki Fūjin, Yin!" He continued, a sole tear fell down his face as he sealed the Yin half into the red-haired boy, his soul slowly leaving his body.
"Fūinjutsu: Shiki Fūjin!" He screamed, completing the technique in its entirety.
The deed was done, and the Sarutobi Hiruzen's limp body lay lifeless on the floor.
The great third Hokage died that night, but his sacrifice would live on forever.

"Fūinjutsu: Shiki Fūjin!" - Sealing technique: Dead demon consuming seal
This is like the third time that I've done this chapter. It's still shit, but hopefully you can review to let me know where I've gone wrong. Especially the fight scene.
