"Marco.. I'm really scared." Star whispered to her bestfriend. But was he really her bestfriend? Her heart pounded in her chest. These thoughts were too much. Star couldn't tell what he was thinking under his mask.
"Don't worry, It's gonna work." He said reassuringly, but that wasn't what she was scared of.
"That's not it.." She murmurred. "I don't want my destiny determined by some creepy curse." Star gripped Marco's hand.
"But.. I like this." She said, her heart pounding. Marco's eyes widened. He moved his thumb over Stars hand. He lifted up his mask.
"Yeah? Me too." He said. Star looked at Marcos face. He had a hint of emotion in his eyes. Marco didn't know how to feel. Star suddenly stopped, letting go of Marco's hands. She stepped away.
"Star? Star what're you doing? We need to keep dancing, the light is going to fade! Then we'll never break the curse." Star looked at Marco with sad eyes.
"Marco what if it was never the blood moon?" Tears welled up in her eyes, thinking that maybe the feelings she had towards her bestfriend were true. Marco bit his lip. Then he lunged at Star, twirling her around, dipping her to complete the dance.
"I'm sorry Star. We need to break this curse." He said, teary eyed. The music ended, and the blood moon crystal shattered, unbinding their souls, breaking the curse, and zapping them back to the present.
