Idea: What if Usagi/Serena was an orphan who lived in America? What if she was super-smart? As in smarter than Ami. What if she knew the Outer Senshi but not the Inner?

Prologue

The baby's little lungs were being used to the fullest as she watched the bodies of her momma and papa being taken in the opposite direction as her. The tears flooded her eyes as her child-like mind realized what was going on. The cild was a bright child, her momma told her so. So when she watched her parents being taken away she began to wonder why.

'Poor baby,' Pediatrician Richards said in a sorrowful tone. 'Not even a year old and you are already an orphan.' The baby had arrived in an ambulance that also delivered two bodies for the morgue. Apparently those two were the child's parents. According to witnesses at the scene, the young family was crossing the street at an intersection when pick-up swerved out of control and hit the parents. Now, you could classify the child as either being lucky to be alive or unlucky that she survived and will never know her parents. Richard picked up the phone and dialed a number

'Hello?' he started

'Yes, um, I have a newly orphaned child an-'

'I believe she is about 9 months'

'I don't know her name'

'All right.'

'I'll be there tomorrow at nine o'clock'

'Thank-you. Good night.'

'Well little one,' he said, now conversing with the baby, 'Looks like I've found you a home.' His only response was an owlish blink from the wide eyes of a blue-eyed babe.
